(More customer reviews)I bought this clock to replace what appeared to be its predecessor from Seth Thomas, which I received as a gift 11 years ago. The older one had stopped working, but once upon a time, it had an hourly strike and quarter-hour chime. This new clock has neither - its only audible feature is an hourly chime - and it sounds like a cheap doorbell. We hate it. The clock looks really pretty, but if you're looking for an appealing, old-fashioned chime and strike, you'll have to pay more for a better clock.
