(More customer reviews)When I looked @ the pic of this clock on line I thought it had depth to it, maybe about 2 inches. But there is no hollow back, that being said I love the way it looks. I opened the box & because of what I mentioned earlier it looked quite fragile, but it is very narrow & actually looks great on my wall. In my office @ work I have a cheap Walmart clock that is about 2 inches thick & that was what I was expecting it to be. To my surprise & in my opinion it was better. It hangs very well & isn't too light nor too heavy. By the way, it isn't a black face which I was happy about, because it matches my living room better. It is a very dark brown face. And it doesn't make that annoying tick-tock sound with the pendulum
