(More customer reviews)I have had an affinity for Cuckoo clocks ever since I was a small child and was fascinated by my Grandmothers Cuckoo clock. They bring back fond memories and now I have a few and have given them to my family as gifts. I have always wanted a mantle version of a Cuckoo and it seemed a good time to try one of the Hubert Herr clocks that are available for a reasonable price.
Overall the quality seems good. The only exception is that on the right side, the seam where the base attaches to the main box, the finish is off. Apparently excess glue from assembly prevented the stain from getting into the wood leaving a red line along the seam. Not too noticable unless you are examining the clock but an eyesore nonetheless.
The clock functions well and keeps time so far. A charming clock that should last a lifetime with reasonable care.
