(More customer reviews)I could have sworn it would die soon. It seemed a bit flimsy and temperamental. But apparently it's tougher than it looks, and less moody now that I know the trick. Just turn it past 30 minutes, then back if needed for less time. It also has a nice long ring, which gets my attention. And unlike digital timers, it takes all of two seconds to set, and turns itself off.
