Even though the woofer and mid range speakers are separate, it's still not got the high fidelity of an Altec-Lansing dock-type system (for which I paid twice the price). But if you don't want to dock your iPod outside where it's exposed to the weather (or, worse, kids), and you're not concerned about having the loudest sound, then it's about the perfect product. I've not used this for even a day, yet. So, however long it lasts will govern whether I give it an extra star. It seems to be constructed pretty well. Not on the level of an Apple product, but certainly not cheap, either. I've not really tested its wireless range, yet, either. But I don't think it's going to be any good beyond 30-40'. Also, the wireless signal adapter does not come with an electric transformer, so assuming that if I don't return the product, I'll probably need to make a trip to Radio Shack for a $20 accessory.(If I don't need to leave batteries (3 x AAA) in the adapter, then my preference is not to do so.) Again, for the price, I really like this product.
