(More customer reviews)I've had this product for over a year, and now mainly use it to monitor the temperature upstairs, so I know when to turn the heat down. But when I check the weather predictions and compare them to the actual weather, it seems to be fairly accurate. If anything, when you use it indoors, you can see that the pressure is dropping and you might be in for a storm. But it doesn't say how fast the drop or rise in pressure is, so it's hard to say how hard that rain or sun is going to hit. And this is exacerbated by the fact that it doesn't display the pressure reading at all, only a down arrow, an up arrow, or a steady arrow.
I still give it 4 stars because for the price; it's adequate, and it does its job as advertised. I noticed that a lot of lower end weather sensors like this one have the same problem with pressure readings not being displayed. You have to spend considerably more to get that, but I could be wrong. So in terms of value vs. function, it's right on.
The thing you can like about this product is that it's reliable, and it's easy to change the batteries, and the batteries last a long time. Not to mention that I trust Oregon Scientific as a brand, in general. They are good, but not great, depending on the product. Happy hiking!
