(More customer reviews)As received, this item has a base-metal handle, with a shiny (painted?) coating that was already peeling in places because the base metal underneath was corroding. The wrench inserts that mate with the watch casebacks were covered in oil, to prevent rusting while in storage... but they were still fairly rusted.
Having had occasion to use the tool on a several sizes of ladies' and mens' models, the corrugations fit surprisingly well on the Rolex casebacks. The tool works adequately at removing Rolex casebacks, but is generally of very low quality -- essentially designed to 'look' similar to the correct tool, with very little concern for material or quality, arriving with signs of rust and corrosion, despite being smeared with oil to prevent precisely that.
When purchasing items such as this, look for a brand name, and recognize the manufacturer. The difference between knock-offs is dramatic.
