(More customer reviews)Ordered this because I wanted to be able to monitor outdoor temps where I live. I often check things through online weather servers but those do not tell me what the temperature is at my home. Setting it is easy as long as you read the instructions. Other reviewers on other models of this type of product remark on that, but as long as you follow the directions you're fine. Mounting the outdoor receiver was a little tricky, but only because I live in a place with no wood or masonry on the outside. I finally found a space on my porch out of the weather to mount it. I used some industrial strength velcro I purchased from a third party so I can take it down easily. We'll see how it holds up to 50 below weather.
Took a night to adjust to the radio time. Once I figured out how to set the time zone, its accurate. (You have to set the date yourself. No big deal.)
Temperature reads within three degrees of what my computer tells me. I'm ok with that. Probably the heat of the house making the difference. The only thing is it takes a little while for it to read changes in the temp. When I first put it outside it took about an hr for it to adjust to the actual temperature. I thought that a little odd.
Cosmetically, this is attractive. You know that you're getting something thats going to be modern looking. I just wish that the face could be seen from more angles, but again, its what I expected. Right now I am actually using it on a counter instead of mounted to a wall. It has little flip out tabs for doing so (they are pretty flimsy though.) Also there are settings on the back for snooze and an alarm but i think these are like a vestigial tail, poorly located and near inaccesible if you were actually going to use this for an alarm clock.

This atomic digital wall clock from La Crosse Technology not only conveys the precise time and date, but also informs users of current indoor and outdoor temperatures. Radio-controlled by transmissions from the national atomic clock in Fort Collins, CO, the clock regularly resets time for increased accuracy and adapts automatically for daylight savings time. A remote TX38U sensor transmits climate data at 915 MHz from up to 200 feet from the clock.
Sleek in silver casing, the wall clock benefits from a built-in stand for optional table placement. The LCD clock expresses the time in either a 12-hour or 24-hour format. Along the bottom of the screen, the clock conveys the date, day of week, indoor temperatures ranging from 14.2 to 99.9 degrees F, and outdoor temperatures ranging from -39.8 to 139.8 degrees F. English, French, German, and Spanish languages are available for day display, and temperatures can be viewed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. Using the functions on the back, the user selects the appropriate time zone from +/-12 GMT for atomic time coordination. This interface also permits the user to deactivate the auto DST feature and to set the alarm and its 10-minute snooze. To power the clock and the sensor, the separate purchase of two AA batteries and two AAA batteries is required; replacement is indicated with low battery icons. A limited one-year warranty covers this item. The clock measures 9 inches wide by 4/5 inch deep by 7-1/5 inches high, while the sensor measures 1-1/3 inches wide by 1/2 inch deep by 3-2/5 inches high.
