(More customer reviews)I received this (with a dark brown frame, but the same clock) just this year, and put it up two weeks ago. There is a sensor that keeps it from playing if there is no light, so it doesn't wake anyone. Even if it did not have this sensor I don't think it would wake anyone, because contrary to the other review, mine does not play loudly at all, but rather produces a delicate tinkling, as you would expect, and the tones are amazingly clear and on-key. It is so pleasant that when it starts to play, I stop what I am doing and just smile until the song stops, as you might if you heard carolers outside. It may not be the most expensive Christmas item I have, but it is already a dear favorite.
