(More customer reviews)I was worried this would be black as it was very dark in the picture. But it is actually a dark green with a bit of gold thru it. Not metal as described but a very light weight molded resin of some sort, kind of a very heavy styrofoam feel to it. Very attractive and perfect for over a doorway or foyer entrance. Hangs with 2 nails to ensure it hangs evenly and does not shake loose from slamming doors which could make something this wide crooked. It's just the right height for over a door way in the average home with 7 1/2 foot ceilings, and is just short of 3 foot wide. If you are hanging it over the doorway with standard door frames your ceiling needs to be at least 7 foot 5 inches to have enough clearing...at 7' 6' mine looks perfect.
