The utencil hour markers look very real, even though they aren't made of actual utencils, which you can only realize by looking at the back of the clock. If you look at the front, they do look like real forks, knives, ladles and strainers.
The clock is big enough, measuring 17x17 inches tip-to-tip.
Makes for a grat piece of kitchen decor, and it works well as a clock too.
The clock mechanism is barely audible, which is sometimes a concern for electromechanical wall clocs. This one is pretty quiet.
