(More customer reviews)I wanted a quiet clock and Seiko sounded like it would be ideal. It is almost. During part of the sweep, the movement makes more sound than during the remainder of the sweep of the second hand. I guess I really wanted a silent clock, not just a quiet clock. During the day with other sounds (radio, TV), the sound isn't audible; but in the still of the night...you can hear it. It isn't as loud as a previous clock I had. The other thing that I didn't count on was that the clock face reflects lighted objects (like the ceiling light)which makes reading part of clock a bit difficult when the light is on.I would have also liked the numbers to be larger. But it is an attractive clock.
