(More customer reviews)We bought the shower timer from Digiventions because of a teenager that was using all of the hot water. The version that we purchased had no logo on the front (see customer images). We bought it specifically to be a timer IN the shower, but the first line of the instruction book reads, "Keep timer away from contact with water". The product doesn't seem to be any more waterproof than any other water resistant timer, so if you prefer a different kind of timer it might not matter. The instructions are clear enough, and the buttons on the timer are intuitive to use. You shouldn't need the instructions beyond the first day.
The timer is quite small measuring about 2-1/2"w X 3-3/8" h X 3/8" d. The alarm is loud enough to hear if you mount it reasonably near your ear in the shower (and you're listening for it), but it would be awfully hard to hear over the water noise if it was outside of the shower. It can be mounted with either the double-sided sticky tape or a magnet on the back. If you mount it with the tape, how do you change the AG13 button cell battery ( LR44 - AG13 Maxell Alkaline Button Cell Watch Battery AG13 - LR44 - 10 Pack )? I guess you scrape the old tape off of your shower wall and get new tape! We don't have ferrous metal in our shower to mount the timer with the magnet, but I tried the magnet on the refrigerator and it holds well. You would have to remove the double-sided tape so the magnet could contact the metal though. I ended up modifying a suction cup and attaching it to the sticky tape (with super glue) to hold the timer. The suction cup worked OK- if you reapply the timer to the wall each shower, and hopefully Amazon will allow the customer image of my modification. You can set the timer to any time up to 59min and 59sec. If you always want to set say a 10min limit to a shower, it does remember the last time set, so you don't have to reset the timer from scratch each shower.
It only took our teenager a short time to learn to self-limit showers, so I can't comment on the durability of the product. It did what we needed it to do though.
