Its easiest to pick the timer up to set it, it's hard to set and keep the unit steady while it's on its stand or magnetically attached. The three timers are accurate and easy to set. Having three timers in a single unit is a real advantage not only for cooking, but for other uses as well. The unit is an excellent source for reminders if, e.g., you have scheduled calls to make, are on a course of antibiotics etc. as you can enter multiple alerts well in advance.
All timers are accessed and information entered in a similar manner; thus, the learning curve is minimal. The timers are quick and easy to set, reset, or cancel. The AAA battery lasts for an extended period of time. I've had a unit for about a year without having to change the battery. The alarms are loud enough to be heard in another room. The unit's small size makes it ideal to carry outside the house, as it fits easily in a pocket or purse.
The timer is not without some minor problems. The narrow rear magnetic support stand is not as wide, and does not extend as much as would be desired. It's easier to tip the unit over than would have been the case with better design. Most kitchen and other rooms usually have enough clocks, so the inclusion of a clock function, which cannot be displayed simultaneously with the timers, is an unnecessary complication adding an additional button and some unnecessary cost. Also, although the unit comes with three timers and a clock, there is only one display. Thus, to see all timer settings and the clock, you must manually access the displays in turn, as there is no way to have the unit automatically cycle through the displays.
In spite of some minor issues, this is an excellent timer that is easy to recommend.
