(More customer reviews)The clock I received was ten inches not twelve as advertised. It takes AA not AAA batteries. Be aware that unlike bird clocks this does not have a different horse sound every hour. It makes a galloping, whinnying, and snorting sound on the hour. One sound follows another so the sounds run together and are not very distinct.
