1. 3 AA batteries, no wires, good life
2. It is easily readable in all types of light
3. The illuminated letters are very easy to read in the dark or low light
4. It is small enough to fit most anywhere, yet very readable, even from a distance
5. Dead quiet, no ticking or humming noise
6. It is heavy enough so that it is not easily knocked off the table
7. It comes red and blue, both are fine but I prefer the red

Prepare for a frigid bedroom conditions by checking the indoor temperature on this LCD alarm clock’s screen immediately after waking up. From Equity by La Crosse, the clock also displays the date and the day of the week to help ground the user in the first fuzzy moments of the day. The clock features glossy blue casing. On its LCD, the clock relates the time, the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, and calendar information in easy-to-read black digits. The clock’s AM/PM indicators distinguish times before and after noon, while an alarm indicator notifies the user when the alarm is on. For better viewing in the dark, an on-demand blue backlight illuminates the screen. The clock wakes sleepers with an ascending alarm; reluctant risers benefit from the five-minute snooze function.
