(More customer reviews)The scale is easy to use and precise. I have use it in the range of 0-1kg (0-2pounds) with calibrated sample weights and measures have a max. error of 3grams.
Those are the 2 more important things for a kitchen scale (in my opinion), however, I don't give 5 stars because of the price, which I think is a bit high for the materials used.
The timer function is useful.
PS: I think the pictures make the scale look bigger than what it actually is. Check the dimensions before ordering! (the glass tray is a bit more than 7inches in diamater)

(More customer reviews)Positives: Decent looking, seemingly accurate and consistent. Basically, it performs its core task well. What kept it from a 5-star rating? A couple of things, which I will point out simply because this is a $30 scale and others might like to know:
1. We intended for this to be a countertop scale (not wall-mounted). However, we soon discovered a design flaw: When folded up, the bottom of the scale no longer sits flat due to the protrustion of the hinge. This could have been easily overcome had the designers envisioned that people might NOT actually want to mount it on the wall. This sort of defeats the "space saver" element of the name.
2. Thermometer is 2-4 degrees off. Again, not a big deal, but since there is a thermometer on it, I figured this deserved mention.

Rosle Digital Kitchen Scale and Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I own a substantial number of Rösle kitchen utensils, and I've been extremely satisfied with them. Friends who try stuff like my garlic press or potato peeler tend to realize how big the difference really is between quality equipment and the ikea stuff they have at home. This, in addition to the prospect of hanging it on a rail, sold me on the rösle scale.
The problem is, however, that in my opinion this is not a real rösle product. First of all: the surface is NOT stainless steel, it's plastic. It looks ok, but the robust quality feeling you usually get from rösle products is totally absent, this just feels...cheap. Light, fragile and cheap. In addition to this, the scale does not have physical buttons. The buttons around the screen are touch sensitive, which means poor responsiveness and a slow interface (for me, anyway).
From my experience the accuracy is ok. However, the reset function that doesn't always work (I've started just swiching the scale off and on again to reset it) and it turns itself off way to quickly (it has blacked out more than once while I was still adding flour).
Rösle, my advice for you is this: While I'm sure your profit margin is through the roof on this one, beware that selling such a poor product will probably hurt the Rösle brand in the long run. If you don't know how to do scales and electronic devices properly, leave it to those who do and concentrate on your already wonderful stainless steel utensils.

First off, it is very aesthetically pleasing, since I have a stainless steel theme going on in my kitchen. Definitely a great gadget for all others like me who like all tech things. But aside from the looks of it,
It definitely does a great job, since when I do cook, I have to follow the instructions to the T (I have a horrible eye for ½ cup of oil, or 3 tbsp of sugar) I definitely needed a kitchen scale. Another plus about this one was that I didn't have to calibrate it. There's a bunch of other cool features like temperature, a clock, and probably a million other things that I'm not using, but would definitely be cool for someone who spent some time and played with it. I'm just the scale as a kitchen scale, and it does that very well, while looking very good in my kitchen (I'm going to try and post a few pics to show readers what I'm talking about). They should probably make a few different finishes for other types kitchens, but this is probably the most common one so it's not hard to see why hemingweigh picked the stainless look. Great product. Does what its supposed to, and probably more.

Salter #1200 LCD Wall Mount Aquatronic Kitchen Scale and Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item thinking it would serve as both a kitchen clock and a kitchen scale. It's a nice idea. Basically you hang the whole thing on the wall, then when you want to weigh something you remove the outside ring (with a glass cover), set it on the counter, and the clock on the wall becomes the readout for the scale. They are even nice enough to include all 7 AAA batteries!
What I didn't realize was that the unit needs to sit directly above the location where you're going to use the scale because it uses an rfid technology and the two have to have a direct sight line between them. In my kitchen the clock sits on a wall that doesn't have a counter beneath it, and I didn't think it would be practical to weigh things on the floor.
The other thing I didn't care for was that the clock was hard to read. It has black numbers on a grey background which you can make out if the room is very bright, but not at all in dim light. And you can't really view it from an angle. You almost have to be standing directly in front of it to read the time and temperature. When you're weighing something this lovely blue light is activated that pretty much solves any readability issues, but as soon as you're done with the scale, it goes back to being dark. The package is a little misleading since it shows the numbers on a bright blue background. I figured that's how the clock would look.
So, if you're looking for a digital kitchen scale, and you have a spot on the wall directly above where you like to weigh things, and you don't really care about being able to read the time and temperature, it might work for you!
My suggestions to the manufacturer; make the clock more readable and use bluetooth technology so the scale can be placed further from the clock.
