(More customer reviews)I saw this item in a catalog for substantially more money, was very intrigued and searched for a lower price. I was still a bit hesitant and skeptical about spending this much on such a silly thing, but figured I could send it back if it disappointed... In any case, it arrived today and I'm so pleased. The music is pleasant and the sound quality is good. There is a volume control and you can select Christmas carols or everyday songs. The lights on the stage add a nice ambiance. It's made of plastic but does look very intricate and not cheap. It is a hoot to add/remove bears from the stage to change the composition of players and parts. The smile hasn't left my face since I first turned it on. It has been playing for probably 20 minutes now without any repeats of the carols. My only gripes are technical - the chin rest is on the wrong side of the violin, the keys of the flute are misdirected, and the cello endpin doesn't reach the floor. It seems like the creators could have taken more care in assuring accuracy in these details, but overall this is a splendid little thing. Worth every penny! :)

Cons: Price.
I picked this up to replace a piece of junk Curtis shower radio I bought my wife from Best Buy. She was so dissapointed in the Curtis because no stations would come in on its analog tuner.
The Sony was everything the cheaper Curtis wasn't. It is fully digital including the tuner. It has an external antenna and the reception is great. It sounds great for a littler radio with a even a bit of bass. The auto off feature will let you turn this thing on first thing in the morning and not worry about draining the batteries by leaving it on all day. Aditionally, it comes with a rope strap that will let you hang it from about anything. It is a bit on the heavy side because it is built solid as a rock.
The final word is I am super pleased with this little radio. My only gripe is the price: ... ouch. But if you believe that you get what you pay for...

(More customer reviews)Before you buy this just know that it's cheap. It is made of cheap plastic, and under no circumstances trust your iPod in it not to get wet and get ruined. Also be aware that it DOES NOT FIT ALL iPods!!!! I have a 30 gig iPod and I cannot get it in there all the way because the wire that connects into the head set plug stops it from setting in correctly, which in turn stops me from putting in the bottom cover. Those little lights are a joke also. All in all I would have rather paid a little more money for a better built one. Also you can not navigate through your songs once you have put it in the radio. This thing is just all around CRAP!!!

(More customer reviews)I bought this item because of it style and listed functions. It does look good, but the device is a little difficult to get used to. Just about all the control buttons are flush mounted because of this style, and as a result are sometimes hard to locate, especially when you are in a morning funk when the alarm is going off. The all-important "snooze" button is a classic case of this. It is also recessed, and you can easily miss it, smudging the beatiful smooth surfaces in your attempts to snooze it. All in all, it's OK, it is just that I bought it as a daily use alarm clock, and it is taking me a while to come to grips w/ it.
