(More customer reviews)The clock looks beautiful in my house but there are several problems with it, rendering it non-functional and not worth the money. 1) the nautical chart used for my town is old and incorrect in several places; 2) design is fragile, arms of the clock are on top of the glass and easily damaged or bent; and 3) timing of tides is not accurate and must be adjusted every few weeks. Totally not worth the price - look for something else!

(More customer reviews)I just receievd this clock and it is a complete piece of junk. The manufacturers packaging allowed the clock to bounce around freely in the box. The clock was much smaller than I expected. The worse part it it si supposed to be good quality from Howard Miller. The time and tide setting dials did not work properly. The face of the clock had seperated from the high quality plastic backing and intertefered with the hands. I was so excited to get this and am now just annoyed at a chepo clock with a $100 price tag. Shame on Howard Miller for creating such poor product!

It is not a fine time piece although it seems to keep decent accuracy. It is something that I would put in the 30-40 dollar price range not the 65 that I paid (that price included shipping).

Howard Miller 645-527 Tide Mate III Weather & Maritime Table Clock by Review

(More customer reviews)I have finally found a tide clock that works! I previously had purchased three beautiful brass clocks for four times the price of this one, but none of them worked. The Howard Miller clock is sharp looking and keeps the correct time. I didn't really see the "second" hand as necessary, but I have actually grown to like it since when you look at the clock you can tell easily that it is still running. The face is large enough and the large letters are easily read. I liked this clock enough that I bought two!
Make sure you realize that this tide clock (and all others that I know of) are for the East Coast only in which there are two high and two low tides per day. Other parts of the country can have very strange tides that tide clocks are not good for.

Supposed to reset it at new moons, etc. for it to be more accurate, but he has not had to do that yet, it's still, after several months very accurate.
