Clocky Mobile Alarm Clock - Mustard Review

This was a fun and useful product until it broke (runs away, but stopped making any alarm sound). I was past the return period from the store where I bought it so I contacted Nanda for warranty service. And I contacted Nanda again. And I contacted Nanda again. I emailed them. I called them on the phone. I even wrote a letter (a real honest to goodness letter - you know, with a stamp). Every time I spoke to someone, they said they would have to get back in touch with me, but they never did. Always apologetic, but never solving the problem. It's too bad. They obviously are a small company and I was rooting for them. They don't seem to be run very well. Nanda, if you're listening, it's and I would still like a working Clocky. Nanda's customer support is awful. It's hard to recommend Clocky for this reason.

Unirex CX-100 AM/FM Alarm Clock Radio Active Speaker System WHITE Review

My daughters have Sony Walkman mp3 players, and I was looking for a clock/charger for them. This was priced well and fit both purposes. I was hoping for an "iHome" type of set-up for them- one where they could easily place the mp3 player on the top of the device directly into a charging cradle, but that is not how this works. Most devices will need to plug in with their own unique charger via a usb connection in the side of this devise. The clock setting function is strange. The sound is ok. If you want to play music from the mp3- there is a "line-in" wire to transfer music from the headphone jack to the radio. It is a little cumbersome. For the money and for my pre-teens it was fine.

After my old alarm clock became unreliable I embarked on my quest to find a replacement. I figured I would find one with some new features that my old alarm clock was lacking. This would be the ability to not go off on weekends without having to constantly remember to set or unset it based on the day. After coming across this Jensen, I determined that this had the functionality I was looking for. For the most part, it is pretty much as advertised. The ability to wave your hand over the top is kind of a novelty. Doing so also cycles through the temp and displays the two currently set alarms. It is also very easy to read. I find the green night light on the bottom of it weird and reminiscent of being on a borg ship, so, I have simply turned it off. Two things I am not fond of are the feel of pressing the buttons on the front and cancelling the alarm. The buttons seem to have a rather cheap feel to them, and also require more force than I would like. This also ads to the minor problem of cancelling the alarm when it goes off. While waving your hand over the top for the snooze works wonderfully, you must press one of the small buttons on the front to cancel. Since the unit doesn't weight a whole lot, this can be a two handed operation. This is not as simple as I would like first thing in the morning. In general, it is decently made, and for it's price is worth what is paid for it. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, and would recommend it to anybody seeking a slightly better than standard alarm clock for not a lot of money.

Nanda White Clocky Run & Hide Alarm Clock w/ Wheels Review

Nanda White Clocky Run and Hide Alarm Clock w/ Wheels

I have been a terrible person to wake up all my life and usually get used to the sound of an alarm clock and just don't hear after a while. I do like this clock a lot because it runs away from you and you have to get up to get but I wish it would stay on the move for a longer time period. It often doesn't get that far away from your bed and I am someone that can fall back asleep with in seconds so it would work better if I had to walk farther. The only other thing that I didn't care much for was that it was kind of tricky setting the length of time for the snooze setting. You can set it from 1 to 9 minutes. It took me a few minutes to be able to get to this menu. Other than that initial problem, I really feel this is the greatest alarm clock that I have owned. I wish it was a little lounder. Once again, I am a very heavy sleeper and I really don't think there is a perfect clock out there for me but this is the closest I have found.

Flying Digital Alarm Clock - Black Review

Flying Digital Alarm Clock - Black

This is a cool concept, and when it actually did what it's supposed to do (before it broke), it did a great job of getting me out of bed in the morning. The problem is that the area in which you're supposed to place the propeller is too fragile. If you don't press down, the alarm doesn't shut off, and if you press too hard (too hard being moderate pressure; I do not have concrete hands), the parts that spin the propeller break.

In pursuit of waking excellence... meet the alarm with a difference! Flying Alarm Clock. SAVE BIG! By its very purpose, the "perfect" alarm clock must be able to outwit the human who sets it! An interesting challenge, to say the least. This Flying Alarm Clock comes as close as I've seen. When the alarm goes off, a helicopter flies into the air, carrying the key to turn off the alarm. The only way to silence the alarm is to get out of bed and find the key! The true late sleeper has finally met their match! Large, easy-to-read backlit display. Alarm / snooze / off settings. Requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Measures 5 1/2 x 4"h. Weighs 7 ozs. Order yours today! Flying Alarm Clock

Jensen JRC-275 AM/FM Dual Alarm Clock Radio with Wave Sensor (Silver) Review

Jensen JRC-275 AM/FM Dual Alarm Clock Radio with Wave Sensor (Silver)

I had to replace an older alarm clock that was zapped during a storm. I honestly was looking for best price for a dual alarm & came across this. Its a solid product. There are some neat features on here in addition to the dual alarm. The night light is semi-useful. I love the fact the display completely goes black if you want it too...this is great if you have trouble sleeping to the annoying glow of the clock numbers. The room temperature is also handy. Best feature hands down is the wave sensor/gesture. All you have to do is wave your hand over the top to have it snooze, or turn the clock on if its off. The only thing I'd like to see different is red digits/light. Otherwise, I'm digging it. Would highly recommend.

Offering a large, easily readable green LED display, the Jensen JRC-275 clock radio also offers an innovative infrared Wave Sensor feature that allows you to activate the snooze function without hitting the device--just wave your hand above the clock. Additionally, the Wave Sensor feature allows you to wave your hand to show the time (when the clock is in power saver mode), show indoor temperature, and show radio frequency (when in radio mode).

The JRC-275 has an AM/FM as well as auxiliary input jack for connecting your iPod, MP3 or other digital audio players. Its dual alarm includes a snooze function as well as weekend cancellation. Other features include high/low dimmer control, calendar, indoor temperature display, sleep to music function, and a power saver mode that turns the display off after 15 seconds. It measures 4-1/4 by 7-3/8 by 3 inches (HxWxD). It also comes with a CR2032 lithium battery for backup should your power go out.

Clocky Alarm Clock On Wheels Review

Clocky Alarm Clock On Wheels
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've acquired quite a collection of alarm clocks over the years in the search for the perfect one. And while Clocky isn't perfect, it is definitely the best one I've seen so far.
1. The alarm tone is adorable and (most importantly) somewhat random. Unlike the traditional Casio or Timex alarms, which sound like fire alarms, Clocky sounds like R2D2 going crazy. I hate all alarm clock sounds with a passion, but somehow I haven't been able to fall in hate with clocky. That sound is just too darned cute (and somewhat random, which helps).
2. The actual running around functionality is a little gimmocky but effective. The thing is, clocky doesn't run until after you've snoozed once, so you have incentive to get up (this can be configured from 10 to 0 minutes, thus effectively immediately buzzing and running). But overall, it works. Clocky runs until he gets stuck on a wall or a discarded bit of clothing, and makes a bunch of noise. You've got to figure out where he went and drag him back.
While I had imagined some sort of light hop to the ground, Clocky actually lands on the ground with a resounding thud. It does have 4 batteries in it. I once accidentally put clocky on the dresser over my bed, and woke to a 3 pound alarm clock falling 4 feet onto my chest. While this little thing feels hugely sturdy for an alarm clock, I can't imagine clocky would be too happy long term if you put it up more than 3 feet off the ground and had hardwood floors. Still, It's probably more safe to throw across the room than most alarm clocks.
3. They've also fixed a lot of the little problems with most clock interfaces. For one the buttons are easy to press and interact with. Changing the time isn't a tedius experience, as the key repeat rate is much faster and more responsive than most clocks. Otherwise, it's press a button, get a response, with a clean and simple UI. The only unintuitive function was setting the snooze time (hold down the alarm time), but otherwise the UI is beautiful.
There are two problems, though they don't quite detract enough to drop the a full 5 star score.
1. The button to turn off the alarm is simple and easy enough to press that the first few weeks I found myself pressing it accidentally every now and then, thus turning off the alarm.
2. If you have a cluttered landing site, Clocky may turn himself off as he jumps. If he lands just right (or, well, somewhat right) he'll hit that aforementioned button himself, and shut down.
Overall, of the 12 alarm clocks I currently own, Clocky is the only one I still use on a daily basis. If you hate conventional alarm clocks, I recommend trying this one. So far for me it has been great.

A great alternative to the average screaming wakeup call, the Clocky alarm clock from the folks at Nanda Home Inc. combines customizable snooze and playful mobility to get you out of bed on time. Built on wheels, the little unit emits an R2D2-style beeping pattern whenever you set it to first sound off. Tailor the snooze feature for between 0 and 9 minutes, after which Clocky will beep again, roll off the nightstand, and start scooting out of reach. To turn it off, the reluctant riser has to get out of bed and chase it down, improving the odds of then staying awake. Sturdily built with a cute chunky shape, Clocky can survive a drop of up to 3 feet, travels on low carpet or hard flooring, and includes a backlit night display for easy reading. The wheel feature can also be disabled, if desired. Measuring 5-1/4 by 3-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches, the alarm clock takes 4 AAA batteries, not included, and comes in a fun array of color choices.
