(More customer reviews)I ordered the Memorex MC2896 Projection Clock Radio to replace another brand that had given out. I looked it up under "atomic projection clocks", but unfortunately did not notice that this was not one of them. The time is easy to set, however you have to set it for the main clock and the projection clock separately. The power cord is not long enough for my purposes, it's about 5 feet long, but it does have space for a 9V battery, not included. The projected numbers are a good four inches high, but you can only move them up or down, and it has to be very dark in the room to see the numbers on the ceiling, which makes it pretty useless. (So I bought a standard battery operated wall clock and placed it across the room from my bed.) It has a hokey am/fm radio with a loose wire antennae and it offers no method to see what channels you are on or what you are changing to. It just digitally displays the time. I would have sent it back, but I didn't feel like hassling with repackaging. Next time I'll do better research and hope more reviews have been posted.

(More customer reviews)My daughters have Sony Walkman mp3 players, and I was looking for a clock/charger for them. This was priced well and fit both purposes. I was hoping for an "iHome" type of set-up for them- one where they could easily place the mp3 player on the top of the device directly into a charging cradle, but that is not how this works. Most devices will need to plug in with their own unique charger via a usb connection in the side of this devise. The clock setting function is strange. The sound is ok. If you want to play music from the mp3- there is a "line-in" wire to transfer music from the headphone jack to the radio. It is a little cumbersome. For the money and for my pre-teens it was fine.

NAXA NX-162 Digital LED Projection Display Alarm Clock Radio Review

(More customer reviews)I was shopping for a projection clock for a while, reading reviews, etc. But then I got this one, which had no reviews. Why? - It was twice cheaper, and I assumed it couldn't be twice worse.
So far I haven't been mistaken. For $12 you get 2 clocks and an alarm radio. Not bad.
Notes:
1. Like many other projection clocks out there, the projection clock is independent from the one on the unit display, so you need to set both. It seems ridiculous, but could be a feature, if for some reason you need two different times set.
2. The projection clock is more flexible in settings. You can have 12 or 24-hour style of time display and have it alternate between time and date, if you'd like. Personally, I find alternation flashing annoying, and I don't really need to be reminded of the date every 3 seconds or so. The main unit clock only shows time and only 12 am/pm style.
3. The projection image is a little weak, but good for full darkness. You can't see it, if you have a night lamp on. But then there's the main unit screen. On the plus side, the image is not disturbingly bright at night.
4. Maybe it's my locality, but AM reception is way more clear than FM. I could not get any reasonable reception from FM at all.
5. There's a battery back up, and the projector image stays on constantly (or could be switched off entirely).
6. The setting of the time(s) is not very intuitive. I had to look at the instructions.
I haven't tried alarm.
In summary, this is a great deal for the money.

(More customer reviews)I was a disappointed by this product because the time on the projector has to be set separately and the projector only rotates forwards and backwards. If you are looking at the clock, projecting forward, the time appears backwards. You cannot turn the projector so that it appears "right". The clock radio is good, but I ended up buying another product and will sell this one in yard sale or give to Goodwill.

(More customer reviews)The screen on this alarm has three settings...no backlight, dim and bright. Without a backlight on, you can't read the clock face in a dark room. With the dim backlight on, it was too bright to sleep next to. If you're only using it for the projector, the projected image worked fine at night, but if you're planning on looking at the clock at night to tell time, there's no way to further "dim" the dim setting. It was way too bright for me.

(More customer reviews)Not to be too critical... the clock works and projects as designed but I question why the projection and the clock are two entirely separate clocks. You set the clock by rotating the bezel (?) and then you have to set the projection clock separately. Two separate clocks?
Another thing I didn't like was that the projection is not bright enough and you cannot rotate the projection. It points forward and up - not left and right. I'd actually like to be able to turn it upside down so that I can see it right side up on my ceiling with the clock itself facing me as well. This is not possible.
Other than that it's not defective. Excepts maybe in the sense that it is deficient in design.

(More customer reviews)I've had this alarm clock for almost a month now and for the most part, am pleased with my purchase. The dual alarms are convenient; one time for M-F and another for weekends without having to manually change the setting every week. I know the time is always accurate - I can rest secure even if there's a power failure that I will get up on time. It's compact size doesn't take up too much room on the night stand. The red ceiling projection light is soft and non-disturbing, yet it does the job. The radio is just a convenient plus and use it to listen to weather forecasts.
My one complaint is that the display light for the front of the clock is too bright, even in its 'dim' setting. It lights up my entire night stand - like having a 'night-light' plugged in. It's a bother on sleepless nights. When you turn it away from you, the ceiling projection is sideways. On the bright side, (pun intended), I don't have to switch on a light if I make a bathroom trip in the middle of the night. This bothersome feature is why I gave it a 4-rating instead of a 5. Perhaps Magnasonic can work on improving this feature.
