(More customer reviews)This is a fun little kitchen timer! Just make sure you get one that's reliable and works properly and you're good to go. Has a nice, loud bell. You can hear it in the next room unless you have your music blasting or your vacuum cleaner on.
The first one I received from Amazon would stop ticking even though I followed directions for turning the dial past the 55-minute mark and then setting it to the number of minutes I wanted. I would set it at 30 minutes or 45 minutes and it would tick briefly, then stop. But it was accurate at shorter times of 5 or 10 minutes; it would tick down and the bell would go off.
Due to its unreliability, I returned it to Amazon for an exchange of the same model. That one had the same defect.
This time I contacted the manufacturer, Fox Run Craftsmen. They sent me a replacement that has worked beautifully!
My advice is, if you get one that doesn't work, contact Fox Run Craftsmen for a replacement.
Now that I have a working one, let me say it is the cutest kitchen gadget ever! I like the fire engine red color! The size is depicted accurately as "actual size" in the photo at just about 3 inches in diameter, so it is small. The magnet is strong. It looks great on my refrigerator!
Recommended. (With above caveats.)

(More customer reviews)I received mine as a Christmas gift. The clock, inside temperature and humidity displays are fine. The remote sensors for the outside measurements worked when I set them up inside, but when I moved them outside, I lost the signal and could not get outside readings. I talked to the support people and they had me do a number of resets with fresh batteries, but it made no difference, so they sent me a replacement unit. The new unit had exactly the same problem - the remote sensors could only be about 10 feet from the base unit and transmitting through the outside wall just didn't work. I finally took the base unit apart and added a length of wire to the existing antenna. I made it 4 times longer than it had been. Since that little fix, the unit has worked perfectly.

(More customer reviews)Pretty straight forward clock, but I must say it was a little bigger than I expected. It's going to be great when I lose my sight/hearing because the numbers are enormous and the alarm is super loud - even on the "low" setting it's a screamer. Fine with me, I'm getting used to it, but it was certainly a shock the first time. It has dual alarms, which is why I ordered it, and a super simple setup which is what I wanted. Minimal things to do on the interface, yay. I hate alarms that require reading the directions or have tiny little buttons all over them. This is a simple, utilitarian clock.
