I love the Big Beautiful Blue Display on this Clock Radio. I can easily read it from across the room. I bought it mainly for use as a bedroom clock. As a clock, I would give it 5 stars.
The Radio part is a different story. The controls are very crude, and have a cheap feel to them. Tuning in stations is a pain. The sound quality is like what I would expect from something this size, just okay. For me, this is a radio that I have tuned to a local station, and it will likely stay that way. I don't intend to use the radio much, except maybe as an alarm clock. As a Radio, I would give it 1 to 2 stars. Not too bad if you always keep it on the same station.
If you are looking for a Nice Clock with a Big Time Display, and don't care much about the radio, I would Recommend this item.

(More customer reviews)Pretty straight forward clock, but I must say it was a little bigger than I expected. It's going to be great when I lose my sight/hearing because the numbers are enormous and the alarm is super loud - even on the "low" setting it's a screamer. Fine with me, I'm getting used to it, but it was certainly a shock the first time. It has dual alarms, which is why I ordered it, and a super simple setup which is what I wanted. Minimal things to do on the interface, yay. I hate alarms that require reading the directions or have tiny little buttons all over them. This is a simple, utilitarian clock.

Oregon Scientific JMR868A "Genoa" Motion Activated Clock Review

Set the motion sensor code, the sensor backlight in the clock never work either. Send the clock back to seller a week ago, do not have response yet.

(More customer reviews)This was a project for my 14 yr old son to build on a cold winter day. The instructions were step by step so the assembly was a breeze. They did short change us one L.E.D that was easily found at Digi Key. As far as the clock goes the procedure on adjusting the time is not clear so changing it is a pain in the neck. All in all it was fun for my son to do. If you have someone who is just getting into electronics it is a good buy.

(More customer reviews)Used it for a 5K run. The clock was very easy to read in the bright sunlight. We will be mounting it above the finish line next year so it's easier for runners to see as they cross the line. Kind of complicated to get it set to start timing, the instructions are good, but have to be followed carefully. Don't lose them. Very good clock for half the price of most of the other ones we found. Numbers are two inches tall which seems small but can be seen just fine from 15 feet away. We ran an extension cord from a building to where we had the clock set up.

(More customer reviews)The Equity 30037 1.8" LED clock is a good value, and works well. However it is advertised on their website as having a "display dimmer", which it does not seem to have, and they have not answered my emails on this subject. It is extremely bright, so is OK in the daytime, but is overly bright at night. I had to open it (4 outer screws and 4 inner periphery screws) and insert a neutral density filter inside the bezel to decrease the brightness. The 30037 is a clever design that uses miniature LEDs to reflect light into the display segment bars, which provides adequate but not total uniformity in the segment light distribution. The unit requires 1 AA battery if you desire backup power.

(More customer reviews)This digital clock looks very nice and the jumbo red display is certainly easy to read. The only problem with it is the accuracy of the time. About every 10 days or so, it gains a minute and is out of sync with my other electronic clocks in the room - DVR, computer, telephone. It's easy enough to set the time with the remote, except that it doesn't set backwards so to decrease the time by a minute requires a full cycle forward. Disappointing that this clock isn't more accurate given the price of it.

We were all struggling with how to make him comfortable with knowing what day and date it was without his asking so often. This clock is pretty huge, so be prepared for that, but it has worked well for him. The drawback is that it all works mechanically with flippers that have gotten jammed a couple of times.

A wall clock with an easy to see automatic calendar which shows the month, date and day. The quartz clock requires one AA battery and the calendar uses 2 C batteries, not included. Overall measurement is 9.62 inches x 19.75 inches x 4.25 inches. The date display is 2 1/4 inches high, the PM display that tells whether it is morning or night (which is shown under the day of the week) is 1/2 high, the month and day measure just under 1 inch and the numbers on the clock measure 3/4 inch.

Except... The lights on both clocks are failing. The 0 looks like an upside down U and the 2 looks like a ?
Wish just for once someone would take a great concept and make a good product.
Disappointed with Acu Rite.

Pick Your Color LCD Alarm Clock Review

(More customer reviews)This clock is everything I was looking for (well, almost - it would be nice if it was atomic as well). It is small and slim, barely takes any space by the bed). The display is large enough to be seen from across the room. Very simple with one alarm (which I rarely would use). It is easy to set (the only drawback is that the numbers only go one way but there is a separate set for hour and minute so it makes it easier). It displays in 12/24 hour mode which is really nice and you can see the seconds going by (which to me is a BIG plus). The colors are very nice (yes, I like to play with this feature) and they set like a puzzle - there are three little buttons that you push in various ways and they determine the color of the display). At night, it is not too bright and you can see the display easily. The date and day feature is helpful as well. Have you ever woken up on a Saturday or Sunday thinking it's a work day? One look at the clock and you won't be confused anymore :) Overall, I am very pleased with this clock and would recommend it for someone who likes simplicity.

TimeSmart Self-Setting Alarm Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I saw it in Brookstone a few days ago and was totally sold on the idea of "self-setting". Well, that's actually not very true.
Pros:
Large display with adjustable levels. The blue display also looks a lot better than the usual green or red.
The alarms are easy to use.
It "should" be able to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time.
Cons:
Brookstone is intentionally vague about what they mean by "self-setting". No, it doesn't connect to the US atomic clock as some reviewers say. It was merely pre-set in the factory, and sustained by the battery. If you look at their manual ([...]) you will understand why: if you "reset" the clock, it won't reset to the current time. I didn't realize this until I was trying out the features and inadvertently changed the original clock. I thought by "resetting" the clock it will adjust back automatically. Nope. This was the feature that I thought was worth the price tag, but now I just feel cheated. The clock does use a battery (pre-installed). So it is not really "self-setting".
While it stores the day/month/year info, there is no way to show them on the clock screen.
And, it's a lot easier and more tempting to turn of the alarms than snoozing: the button to turn it off is a lot taller than the snooze button.
Overall, it's not a bad one even if it is not really automatic. I just wish they were more straightforward about what it really is.
