I was nervous at first because the picture makes it look like it might have some gold in it and I needed all silver to match my dining room. The problem my husband and I had was not being able to read the time because of the gold hands blending into the face of the clock. I painted the hour and minute hands with black enamel and now you can finally tell the time. Oddly enough, we did not receive any compliments on this clock until the hands were painted black.

Retro 50s 50's White Small Kitchen Timer Wall Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this clock to be installed in my vintage travel trailer, and i wanted to stick with a retro theme. I was really excited when i found this clock. The clock did not arrive in the time that was allotted, even though it was shipped via UPS, and when i got it i was a bit disappointed in its construction. It is made of a very lightweight and cheap looking plastic, and everything on it is the same light plastic and generally looks cheap, which paying $32 for clock i don't find as cheap!! The time does work and it is cute, but it isn't up to par on quality as far as the purchase price is concerned. If it sold for $15, i'd say it was worth it.

We just remodeled our kitchen and livingroom and I wanted something different for a clock that would show the freshly painted wall behind it. I love the look of this clock. The only thing I see wrong with this is the hands are hard to view with everything being silver in color if you're in another room you cannot readily see the hands from the hours. So, I'm going to paint the tips black and that won't be an issue any more. :0) Love this clock and the sellers (Home Trends) are awesome for customer service!
Would buy this again!

(More customer reviews)This is a really neat looking clock. It comes in two pieces. There is the smaller interior piece that has all of the clockworks. The second hand is at the bottom and the top has a smaller minute and hour hand. The outer piece is just a big circle that marks out the hours.
Overall, I am very happy with this clock. It looks great in the living room, makes no noise, and seems to keep great time. It doesn't come with any wall anchors or anything to secure it to the wall, so you will need to purchase those.
My only complaint is a small one. The large hour and minute hands have to sit away from the face of the clock quite a bit. This is to allow them to swing freely over each other and the smaller hands underneath them. This gives the impression that the large hands are floating a bit high over the rest of the clock.
Other than that, it's a great clock and a great addition to our home.

It has a very loud ticking mechanism, very audible even at a distance of 10-12 feet away. It's still a pretty clock, but for anyone who is bothered by a ticking sound or who is interested in specifically matching a turquoise theme, this clock might disappoint.

That means you have to be about 1-2 feet away from it to tell the time!!! I traded mine for an authentic Elgin brass and wood starburst clock from the Sixties!!! I give it 3 stars but dont reccomend unless used for retro wall-art!!

(More customer reviews)This clock arrived (in a box 10x too large for it... way to be eco-friendly, Amazon!) in a timely fashion. The clock is actually 19.5" in diameter, NOT 2'x2' as the seller suggests. The box says 20" in diameter, but pull out your tape-measurer and you'll see. Also, the only silver "finish" on the clock are the hands. The clock is flimsy and cheap-looking with a logo printed on the black face in white print. Gave it 2 stars instead of one because it filled a bare spot on our wall and from far away looks pretty cool. Too much of a pain in the a$$ to return it, but I would not order it again.

(More customer reviews)If you have patience, this is super cute. I had to use a rubber mallet to pound out the center to get the hands to pass the somewhat domed center. I also had to bend the hands somewhat to get them to pass each other. They are a cute cutout branch shape, but they were getting hung up on each other. I've been letting it sit upright on the floor a few days before I mount it in the pitch of our cathedral ceiling. The motor seems a little low powered and hard to turn to set so I wanted to make sure I could leave it up for awhile (until battery goes) without having to mess with it. It fits with my nature theme decor, though, and when I saw it online I thought "Perfect"-- it's cuter in person but like I said-- I had to work with it. All in all, I had decided before I let it run for a few days, I would keep it and replace the motor and/or hands if it didn't keep time-- but I am pleasantly surprised that it appears to be doing well. Hope this is helpful. Also, Amazon's price was about 40% lower than elsewhere, plus free shipping.

update. I think it either ate the rechargable I put in quick/and/or it got stuck. Really need to replace the arms and mechanism to be sure. Hung it up too high and keep procrastinating on taking it down. Still looks nice. I just don't look at it for the time anymore.
