(More customer reviews)I collect George Nelson clocks and saw this one for a fraction of the cost so I thought I'd give it a try. It was labeled as an authentic George Nelson but it's the opposite. It's poorly made and obviously a knock off when put up against the authentic re-editions. If you're just looking for a retro type clock and have no attachments to it being a George Nelson this will work for you. However, if you're looking for a more true George Nelson clock, don't bother with these cheap knock offs, especially if you're a George Nelson enthusiast.

We just remodeled our kitchen and livingroom and I wanted something different for a clock that would show the freshly painted wall behind it. I love the look of this clock. The only thing I see wrong with this is the hands are hard to view with everything being silver in color if you're in another room you cannot readily see the hands from the hours. So, I'm going to paint the tips black and that won't be an issue any more. :0) Love this clock and the sellers (Home Trends) are awesome for customer service!
Would buy this again!

(More customer reviews)I received this clock today and mine also has a second hand, as an earlier reviewer commented. I really like this clock. I knew its dimensions but it seems larger (not a bad thing). It is an excellent value at this price point and you can't beat the retro styling - of the face especially. I also love its color. I gave the clock 4 stars as I'm not quite as pleased with the outer part, it's pretty obvious that it is thin plastic rather than a heavy plastic resembling metal (which to me it looks very much like from the picture here). I now know exactly what to expect when I read "resin construction", I suppose. But again, for the price this is a great clock and I certainly can't complain much. I see stuff like it all of the time in stores for $40 and more.

(More customer reviews)For the price (10% of a Vitra-made original), this reproduction of the George Nelson Wall Clock is pretty good. The clock is a little bit larger than an original, the balls aren't quite as glossy, but the colors are fun and the build quality is acceptable. The white face is made of plastic and annoyingly has a "Cupecoy Design" logo painted on at the 6 o'clock position -- it's just barely visible in the product photo. We'll see how accurate the Chinese-made quartz movement is over time. If you're satisfied with reproductions of mid-century modern classics, this is worth its tiny price tag.
