Ours went out after 3 years and we called the company and they said it was only supposed to work for 3 to 5 years. They sent out a new, free, but this is nothing to pass on to your kids. Garage sale stuff.

Metal Dali Wall Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this clock several months ago, and everything about it was great. It is made of metal, so feels more rugged and solid than the plastic counterparts. My only problem with this clock is that the arms stopped moving after about only 2 months of use. It still clicks time away as any other wall clock. I gave it 1 star for appearance, and 1 for every time it is right each day.
I do not recommend buying this one, but do yourself a favor and look around amazon. You should be able to find them for just under $30 as of this writing (the top of this page says almost $70 right now!).

The hands and face are not covered by a glass or plastic cover,so I suppose they may have to be dusted occasionally. No big deal. For the price we could not find a better looking clock.

(More customer reviews)A square stainless steel wall clock is not the easiest thing to find, so finding this one--even at a price I initially thought was a little on the high side for a wall clock--was a relief.
It has almost everything I'd been looking for--crisp steel case, clean modern face and hands, big enough to be seen across a loft space, and some heft connoting its quality.
The clock's mechanism is a typical rear-mounted single AA battery powered device with a rotating disc to set the time--nothing you haven't seen or used before.
It is constructed well enough, though I was a little disappointed that the hanger flange isn't perfectly flush with the frame, so it won't sit totally flat against the wall without a minor adjustment--it's probably just an anomalous construction defect.
It does tick, so for super sound sensitive people, I wouldn't recommend it for a sleeping area. That said, it's as close to what I wanted without having one custom made--perfect for your sleek, contemporary interior.

The problem my husband and I had was not being able to read the time because of the gold hands blending into the face of the clock. I painted the hour and minute hands with black enamel and now you can finally tell the time. Oddly enough, we did not receive any compliments on this clock until the hands were painted black.

The package it was in did not have a protective cover on the front or back, and there was a small scratch on the clock's face. Instead of returning it, I requested and received a small credit from Amazon. I appreciated Amazon's willingness to handle it this way, since the only damage was cosmetic. However, if you need a pristine clock, be sure to inspect it carefully for scratches.

This clock looks sharp and accurate... so far.
The advertisement picture confuse me at first that this is a "quare" clock. It's actually a round one. The color of the clock however is correct.
I did post a photo above with the wall clock and my 42" LCD TV so you can see how big it is.

Howard Miller 620-132 Lancaster Wall Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I chose this clock as a 10 year gift from my former employer. If I knew I'll have to wind it every week, I'd have chosen something else. Initially, I adjusted the pendulum's swing everyday to try to optimize the accuracy of time. Perhaps the room's fluctuating temperatures affected the clock's mechanics or something but the it was always two or three minutes off after every week. I gave up the adjustments and after a year or so, the clock is now at least five minutes ahead every week. I didn't mind winding the clock every week initially but eventually, it got annoying. If I forget to wind it, it'll die in less than a week. The chime is quite loud and can be disruptive at night, even though the clock is downstairs and I sleep on the second level. The volume cannot be adjusted so I simply shut it off. For whatever reason, shutting off the chime affected the clock at times; the clock would just die even though it was recently wound. All this attention is too much for a clock that's about $650. Besides, the color is dark cherry and doesn't work with my furnishings. I would much prefer a battery operated clock, such as River City's 6023C, that costs much less (usually less than $200) and offers much better features, such as keeping much better time, adjustable chimes and looks just as beautiful.
