(More customer reviews)A square stainless steel wall clock is not the easiest thing to find, so finding this one--even at a price I initially thought was a little on the high side for a wall clock--was a relief.
It has almost everything I'd been looking for--crisp steel case, clean modern face and hands, big enough to be seen across a loft space, and some heft connoting its quality.
The clock's mechanism is a typical rear-mounted single AA battery powered device with a rotating disc to set the time--nothing you haven't seen or used before.
It is constructed well enough, though I was a little disappointed that the hanger flange isn't perfectly flush with the frame, so it won't sit totally flat against the wall without a minor adjustment--it's probably just an anomalous construction defect.
It does tick, so for super sound sensitive people, I wouldn't recommend it for a sleeping area. That said, it's as close to what I wanted without having one custom made--perfect for your sleek, contemporary interior.

(More customer reviews)This clock is everything and more than I expected. I have a kitchen with red cabinets and needed a new kitchen clock. I viewed online over 583 different clocks and chose this one. After I ordered it, an orange & pink numbered clock arrived and I was heartbroken. It did not look good in my kitchen at all. I contacted the merchant within 10 minutes of opening the box. They said they would send out a replacement. Well... within 3 days the merchant sent an email via Amazon that the black/red clock was no longer avaiable and they would refund the cost plus the shipping and I could keep the "incorrect" clock free of charge. I sent an email to the merchant and explained that I really, I mean really wanted the black/red clock and could they PLEASE try to find one. Well nearly two weeks later, the UPS man brought a package to the door and when I opened it, guess what? Yep, it was the black/red clock. The merchant included a return no cost shipping for the orange/pink clock. But the incredible fact was that the merchant did not charge me for the black/red clock and I had to contact Amazon to tell them I wanted to pay for the clock as the merchant went above and beyond to make me happy. Thank you to Amazon and to this wonderful merchant. Amazon is wonderful when there is a problem and is great anyway. I have bought from Amazon for YEARS and this was my first ever return, everything was handled beautifully with my needs thought of first. And every day when I check the time in the kitchen I always think of the great merchant and of course, Amazon.com!!!

(More customer reviews)This should be fairly obvious by just looking at a picture of the clock - if you want precision, look elsewhere. (There is only one ball that marks the hour.) If you can put up with knowing the time with a tolerance of plus or minus 10 minutes or so, this should work for you. The "cool" factor makes up for the lack or precision, I guess.
The clock works as advertised and does get noticed. But you probably don't want this clock to be the only timepiece in your home.

For a clock to get our attention, it has to have more than just a pretty face and a couple of hands. Like, how about a pretty face and no hands? (More customer reviews)I collect George Nelson clocks and saw this one for a fraction of the cost so I thought I'd give it a try. It was labeled as an authentic George Nelson but it's the opposite. It's poorly made and obviously a knock off when put up against the authentic re-editions. If you're just looking for a retro type clock and have no attachments to it being a George Nelson this will work for you. However, if you're looking for a more true George Nelson clock, don't bother with these cheap knock offs, especially if you're a George Nelson enthusiast.

Floating Dial Wall Clock Review

(More customer reviews)I've had this clock since January 2010, and I couldn't be more pleased. It's kept accurate time right down to the minute ever since I've had it; I haven't had to reset the time or change the AA battery once yet. It's very easy to read, and it's got a lot of eye appeal. The only downside is that the mechanism is noisy, so it's not highly recommended for a bedroom unless you can tune it out or keep a fan in the window.

(More customer reviews)The clock arrived in a timely manner and is as attractive as the picture. All was well until we found the pendulum did not seat properly. Our concern was relayed to Amazon. Amazon relayed the concern to a vendor. The vendor relayed the concern to the manufacturer.
We are now dealing with a third party (manufacturer).
Our most recent email indicates a new clock is on its way. If that's the case it's over-kill for just a pendulum but will probably solve the problem and we would re-score this as a 4-star purchase.
Amazon really seems to be concerned about customer satisfaction.
New clock arrived rather than just a pendulum and everything is just fine. I'm not quite certain who did what, but all's well...

We just remodeled our kitchen and livingroom and I wanted something different for a clock that would show the freshly painted wall behind it. I love the look of this clock. The only thing I see wrong with this is the hands are hard to view with everything being silver in color if you're in another room you cannot readily see the hands from the hours. So, I'm going to paint the tips black and that won't be an issue any more. :0) Love this clock and the sellers (Home Trends) are awesome for customer service!
Would buy this again!

I am actually suprised to still see this error as I pointed it out when I returned the product over 6 months ago!
So now for a quiz. Q: What do you get when you put a cheap looking clock in a fairly decent frame? A: A cheap looking clock in a decent frame.

(More customer reviews)This is a good addition to the contemporary set up i have in my living room. However, the kids cannot read the time well - and most of the time - we ended up using other ways to tell time. It's not big - and thus, difficult to tell the exact time since the clock is hung up quite high. I would say that this is more a decorative item than a functional item. It is definitely not for regular time telling - given it's level of difficulty, and the small size, plus the fact that - the clock has to be hung (note - cannot be place on counter or console table as there's no stand for it).

When I saw this clock online, I loved the red back ground and gold numbers. I can not see the gold numbers day or night so the clock hangs in beauty, and it is beautiful, but I use a digital clock by the tv to actually see the time.

This clock is an instant talking point and everyone who has come by my office says they want to steal it. It was easy to install, with a heavy-weight nail included.
