(More customer reviews)I love this clock! Of course it takes some getting used to as you have to wind it up almost every day. You also have to wind up the alarm. It is easy to set the time but I have found it very difficult to set the alarm. Maybe because it is still so new. It is neat because on the back at the bottom there is a little metal tab inside the casing that you can see through this slit. There is lines on the left and right above this slit and tab and a large line in the middle. I was wondering what in the world it was when it hit me! When I was a little girl my mom had a clock like this and that was the way that you adjusted it, if it was going to fast you moved the tab back a bit, if it was going to slow then you moved it forward a bit. Hopefully most of the time you can just leave it in the middle and forget about it. I think everyone should own one of these clocks. With all the work involved you truly appreciate it and when the alarm goes off in the morning you WILL wake up, believe me! It is turned off in an old fashioned way as well. Look just buy this clock, it is not that much money and you will absolutely love it, not to mention that it is actually becoming trendy to own this type of clocks again.

(More customer reviews)This clock is listed as an extra loud alarm clock. You can barely hear it if you were already awake. What a joke. If you depend on this clock to wake you so your not late for work, forget it. I think someone tapping his finger on a piece of cotton would almost be as effective. I sent it back.

Avoid sleeping through a class or missing the bus to work because of a wimpy alarm. Equity by La Crosse’s 30240 Super Loud Alarm Clock rouses sleepers, blasting out of two black side speakers. Equipped with two alarm volumes, the user can opt for the 70-decibel LO alarm for weekends and relaxed wake-up or select the 95-decibel HI alarm to jolt one out of bed. A repeating 9-minute snooze temporarily silences the alarm. To set the time, alarm, and volume, and to activate the snooze, function buttons are provided on top of the silver plastic-cased clock. The clock conveys the time in .9-inch-high red LED digits. With a PM notification light to signify hours after noon, the clock also benefits from an alarm-on indicator light. The clock plugs into any grounded outlet to run on AC power. In the event of a power outage or relocation, the clock takes one separately purchased 9-volt battery for back-up power. The clock measures 6 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches deep by 3 inches high.

(More customer reviews)It's tough to write a review about a clock. It tells time and it woke me up. How's that? Not enough?
OK, it is smaller than the picture makes it seem. I thought it would be bigger. This not a bad thing, small is always good when traveling. Closed, it is the size of a cigarette pack. It has a sensor to turn the backlight on only when the room is dark, and a switch to keep the light off in your suitcase.
Lastly, it woke me up. I sleep soundly, very soundly. I'm the guy that sleeps through a flight and landing when traveling. It takes a lot to wake me up. The sound isn't that loud, but it is annoying enough and at just the right pitch to wake me up....or at least hit the snooze button. Oh yeah, it has one of those too, a snooze button.

(More customer reviews)What was once a lost cause has now turned into self-discipline and little nagging from parents. This alarm clock uses a variety of methods that change until it is turned off. There are a variety of buzzer sounds, lights flash, and the ingenious mattress jiggler that all combine to get our son out of bed on his own most of the time. We still do a run-by to see if has ignored it, since we are so used to having to shake him to wake him. We have been pleasantly surprised to see such an improvement!! I think the other half of the equation is his desire to wake up, and we're still working on that, but at least he hears and feels this one!!
