jWIN JL350 Digital Alarm Clock
I love the Big Beautiful Blue Display on this Clock Radio. I can easily read it from across the room. I bought it mainly for use as a bedroom clock. As a clock, I would give it 5 stars.
The Radio part is a different story. The controls are very crude, and have a cheap feel to them. Tuning in stations is a pain. The sound quality is like what I would expect from something this size, just okay. For me, this is a radio that I have tuned to a local station, and it will likely stay that way. I don't intend to use the radio much, except maybe as an alarm clock. As a Radio, I would give it 1 to 2 stars. Not too bad if you always keep it on the same station.
If you are looking for a Nice Clock with a Big Time Display, and don't care much about the radio, I would Recommend this item.

Dependable Desktop Loud Talking Clock Review

Dependable Desktop Loud Talking Clock

Ordered this because it is advertised as LOUD TALKING CLOCK. It is not nearly as loud as expected. All functions of the clock are very good, but even when set to high volume, the volume is not as was expected. It will make a nice addition to a small room or open area, but it is not loud enough to be heard in near by rooms. SO I call it the loud talking clock that speaks in whispers.

LED Digital Clock Kit With Case Review

This was a project for my 14 yr old son to build on a cold winter day. The instructions were step by step so the assembly was a breeze. They did short change us one L.E.D that was easily found at Digi Key. As far as the clock goes the procedure on adjusting the time is not clear so changing it is a pain in the neck. All in all it was fun for my son to do. If you have someone who is just getting into electronics it is a good buy.

We were looking for a clock that we could hang on the wall and not have to fully wake up and squint to tell what time it is in the middle of the night. It isn't the most beautiful wall hanging, but it is functional and serves us well. It is bright, but even in full darkness it does not disturb us, likely because it is on the opposite side of the room.

Memorex Alarm Clock Radio Review

While battling an urge to buy a Hello Kitty Alarm Clock I saw this one. I think I'm too old for Hello Kitty and this seemed like a compromise. I only got it because it is pink and cute. True, it is basic in the sense that you can't plug an i-pod into it or have soothing nature noise. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It is easy to program/set, the radio sound quality is pretty good, the design is sturdy, I have yet to knock it off the bedside table in a fumble for the off button in the morning. Every time I look at it I giggle because it's pink and swirly but under the cuteness ticks(sort of)a quality alarm clock.

Elgin 1.25" LCD Bedside Alarm Clock, Silver Review

Elgin 1.25 LCD Bedside Alarm Clock, Silver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this clock because the face gives you all the information you need--specifically it always shows the alarm time and date. What I didn't realize is how big this would be (My fault, I didn't notice the measurements). That's somewhat of an issue because when you hit the button to turn the light on at night, it is really bright! Too bright.
Other than size, the only complaint would be it's difficult to turn the alarm on and off. It's a small button on the back which is easy to hit, it's just that hitting it once puts it on snooze rather than off (there's also a snooze button on the front).
Oh, and as noted by another reviewer, the viewing angle might not be right depending on the height of your nightstand relative to the height of your bed.
On a positive note, the alarm is loud enough and the time/alarm are easy to set.

Love the three alarm settings. I use the alarm M-F and Sunday (Saturday is turned off). I like that I don't have the set the alarm each night - it's always ready to go. I also like that daylight savings time is automatically handled.
I don't like the double-click necessary to turn off the alarm. There is no indicator letting you know that the alarm is off and not in snooze mode instead. A few times I've double tapped then left the room only to have my wife yelling a few minutes later that the alarm was still going off (oops, still in snooze mode).
Edited 5-26-2009
Clock is not so good anymore.
Gains about 5 minutes every 3 months and I have to reset the time. And now the backlight is not working anymore.

American Innovative Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock Review

American Innovative Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I generally only review a product if it's really bad, really good, or as in this case, a very good product with lots of room for improvement to make it even better. I've only owned and been using this product for a few days, so this is a preliminary review, but so far I have noticed a lot of both good and bad with it.
First, there are several features of this clock, some that are less prominent and therefore not mentioned in the description or anywhere else. These are as follows:
-When setting alarms, it starts at 7am. This is great, because you don't have to sit there forever on each alarm changing it from midnight to whatever time you get up in the morning. Most people get up around 7-8, not midnight. I can't believe this isn't more common in alarm clocks, and it's one of many things that shows the ingenuity of the designers.
-Set and preference buttons need to be held for a couple seconds before they bring up the menu, avoiding accidental menu access by merely pressing the wrong button.
-Great sound. I was expecting sound superior to normal clock radios, but I was really impressed. It definitely surpassed my expectations and then some.
-Small (smaller than I thought it would be) and looks great, with great layout for the most part.
-Excellent snooze button size and location. (could be seen as a con by some people I suppose)
-Remembers nap/sleep timers for quick one touch setting
-Alarm duration setting, nice so alarm can be set to only go off for a short period of time, just in case you leave it on when you leave and it will disturb others when it goes off.
-Gradual wake feature.
-Alarm volume independent from sleep volume.
-Four different alarm sounds.
-Descending snooze makes it so every time you hit the snooze button you get less time before the alarm sounds again. Once again, I can't believe this isn't a more common feature, but this is the first clock I've seen it on.
Now for the negative points. Some of these are pretty severe, at least in my mind, whereas others are really quit minor and even perhaps a little nitpicky. However, I believe a product can always be made better, and I hope that by pointing these things out American Innovations will be encouraged to take them into consideration for an improved model. Also, for a product with such obvious creativity and ingenuity involved in its design, the fact that some of these negative items even exist is just that much more baffling and upsetting. Also, I feel the consumer should be as informed as possible when making a decision, so hopefully this will help people considering this clock. Here are my issues with this alarm clock:
-Value collar (outer ring) should spin more freely. It's whole purpose in life is to quickly advance the time backward or forward to set the clock or alarm, and this is done by spinning or rotating it. For this purpose, I feel it is way too stiff, and that detracts from its functionality.
-Minimum volume should be lower. It's pretty quiet, but I have absolutely no doubt there are people that like to listen to very quiet music when they're going to sleep, quieter than this will go down to, and there should be more options on the low end of the scale to account for that. I realize that is a problem with digitally controlling the volume instead of using an anolog dial with infinite positions, but they could, and should, certainly implement a few more volume steps between their current minimum volume and no volume.
-The volume buttons are backwards from any sort of common sense arrangement. Seriously, who puts the volume up on the left and the volume down on the right. It's just counter-intuitive.
-I'd prefer the use of a couple AA or AAA batteries instead of the 3.0V CR2032 button-type battery that's used for the backup functions. They are everywhere, people are a lot more likely to have spares of them lying around the house than CR2032s, and they can be rechargable.
-More color choices would be nice. The white and gray don't really fit into the colors of the rest of the room. I personally prefer the colors of the standard version of the clock, I don't know why the options are so limited here, or why they chose to go with this color for this model instead of the same color scheme they have on the other.
-Easy to accidentally (or subconsiously) hit the on/off button instead of the snooze button, killing the alarm completely instead of snoozing it.
-No alarm preview function. In order to hear the different alarms to know which to use, I had to set nap timer to 1 minute, wait for it to alarm, switch alarm sounds, and repeat until I heard all four.
-Lowest brightness for display not dim enough. This goes hand in hand with the lowest volume not low enough problem.
-No preference for how long the display stays on high brightness after pressing a button.
-Alarm volumes and lengths can't be set independently from one another.
-Beta feature for making one time change doesn't allow changing of multiple banks, or at least I haven't figured out how yet if you can.
All in all, this is a very nice alarm clock, and it's so convenient to not have to switch the alarms back and forth every day, since I have class at 9 MWF and 8 on T & Th, plus I like to have one for the weekends just so I don't sleep until the afternoon. Even with the flaws and areas of needed improvement, it's still a big step up. I just wish the creativity had extended more to some of these other things, as well as other things I probably haven't thought of. I would so far recommend it based off its functionality and the specific need it caters to, but as I said, I've only had it a few days, so it's still too early to tell. So far, I haven't noticed any glitch or bug issues with it.
EDIT: I have now owned this alarm clock for a little over 3 months and just wanted to make a quick update. This clock got me through a semester of late nights and early mornings excellently, and it is still running strong (knock on wood). I haven't really found anything new I like or dislike about it, it's performing exactly as I'd hoped and I'm really glad I got it. As I said before, it has its problems, but they are minor for the most part and do not overcome the usefulness of the clock. The only new thing I have to mention is when turning the two dials, or even when they're in position but pressed lightly, the display sort of spazzes out, for lack of a better term, and jumps all over like you're spinning the dial rapidly. It doesn't cause any real issues, it's just annoying, as you have to release it so it settles down (which is immediate) then you can make any changes you need to make. As I said, it's more an annoyance or minor hindrance at most, and does not impact the clock's functionality, and I wouldn't let it affect my decision to buy one. However, it is, to me, a sign of something either being poorly designed or poorly put together. I have no idea if it's common or just mine. Anyways, after owning it for 3 months, I still hold to my initial rating of 4 stars.

Nearly every aspect of the Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock is fully customizable to suit personal preferences. Everything from the backlight brightness to the alarm duration is fully adjustable. Two alarm banks provide two completely independent seven-day wake schedules, his and hers for example. In addition, the clock features a daily reminder bank, calendar display, and a preferences menu that allows one to choose disparate wake settings. For example, wake to NPR news at 7:00 am weekdays, a favorite Saturday morning talk show on a different station, and the buzzer on Sunday. Designed to be easy to set, a simple twist of the patent-pending rotary dial makes complicated push-buttons a thing of the past. A powered USB port on the back accommodates an electric fan or laptop boom lamp. Plus, the clock features line-in, headphone jack, and more. Each time the snooze button is hit, the snooze time is cut in half until finally the Neverlate Executive won't allow snoozing any more. Or, one can even disable the tempting snooze button. This ultra high-tech clock is ac powered with battery backup.

Average Reviews:

I was looking for a small, pretty basic alarm clock and so glad I found the Equity 30330 because it suits my needs perfectly. I didn't want one with all the bells and whistles, my husband has had one like that on his side of the bed for 6 years and I still can't figure out how to work it. Some must haves for me were that it be cordless, and especially had a display light that wouldn't bother me when I was going to sleep (not too bright). Seems to me from reading some other reviews that this is a common issue with people. For me, the little lights on my DVD player even bother me so I was very hesitant to order any alarm clock online without seeing it in person but I'm very glad I took a shot. This nifty clock is just perfect for me, the display is dim (soothing on the eyes), not too dim that I can't read it but rather just perfect where it doesn't bother me at all when I go to sleep (I believe this is what they are referring to in the description as "nightvision"). It also has a display sensor where if you wave your hand over the snooze button, the display will temporarily light up much brighter (LOVE this feature). It's so easy to set and has not failed me even once. I LOVE the snooze because it will just keep going off until I finally get out of bed, my last alarm clock would snooze 2x and then turn off (of course I would still be sleeping after it turned off...not good). Not much else to say about this clock other than for $13.00 I'm very happy with it. Is it fancy? no but it is rather contemporary looking as opposed to many others I've seen. Basically, I'm up and on time every day, can't ask for more than that. I would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend it.

In the middle of the night, check the time on a bedside alarm clock without fumbling push the backlight button. This Equity by La Crosse digital alarm clock enjoys night vision technology for an unobtrusive, soft green lit display all night long. Additionally, the clock’s readout brightens momentarily with a motion-triggered backlight. This backlight activates when an integrated sensor perceives movement in the air space over the snooze button. Framed in light blue plastic casing, the clock’s LCD relates the time in 1-1/5-inch high black digits. A PM indicator distinguishes hours after noon, while alarm and snooze icons notify the user that these functions are on. To gently rouse sleepers, the clock’s ascending alarm gradually increases in volume. The snooze button allows reluctant risers to silence the alarm for four-minute intervals. For time and alarm setting, a straightforward button interface is located on top of the clock. The battery-powered clock requires the separate purchase of three AA batteries. The clock measures 4-3/4 inches wide by 3-3/4 inch deep by 2-2/5 inches high.

This alarm clock is very attractive on your nightstand. Takes up very little room. It has served us well for over 2 1/2 years, and after sharing it all this time (my husband resets it for me every morning when he gets up) we realized that we should just get a 2nd one! I'm placing my order right now so we'll have his 'n' hers matching alarm clocks on our nightstands. :)
One feature we like is the 2-volume setting. He is a light sleeper and wakes up fine on the quieter setting, whereas I sleep like a log but wake up great on the loud setting.
Edit: I just received the 2nd one and found it to not have the high/low volume setting that I previously wrote about. It also does not have the night light that my old one has. Upon further inspection, I realized that I did not check the model # before writing my review. My old one is model SPC020, which has those 2 features. Whereas this SPC019 does not. I am only noting this for people who might read this review and order based on those features.

Check the time from across the room without squinting with the large, green LED display on this digital alarm clock. Made by Chaney Instruments, the black alarm clock employs 1-4/5-inch high digits, ideal for users with imperfect vision. A dimmer setting adjusts the display’s brightness to one’s personal preference. To distinguish between times before and after noon, a PM indicator light is provided. Another indicator light denotes whether or not the alarm is on. For slow risers, a snooze button temporarily silences the alarm for a few more minutes of sleep. This is a plug in clock with a battery backup (which is not entirely clear from the description). It is very small (definitely fits in the palm of your hand) but has a very clear LCD. I like that you can customize the color for the display but I found the basic blue shown in the picture works the best.
