(More customer reviews)Unless your polarized outlets are installed upside down, the fat blade is on the left. On this night light, the fat blade is on the right, so you have to plug it in upside down.
Also, the animation isn't that great. The wings have two positions, the flower spins, and the body blinks on and off. Doesn't look like he's flying, more just like random flashing. Fortunately the animation is off by default.
It is colorful for an electroluminescent. Usually they are solid blue or green.

This mountable wall clock is a subtle piece of artistic décor as well as a functional piece. A light wood frame circles a brushed silver dial with black metal hands and a step second hand. The 3, 6, and 9 hours are marked with metal dashes and the 12 hour is marked with Roman numerals. The other hours are unmarked, yet easy to distinguish. But apparently this clock was designed by people who think every month of the year has 31 days. The manual tells you for every month that doesn't have 31 days, you're supposed to get the clock off the wall and reset the date counter to the correct date. It'd be better to have no date display than one that will drift every other month.

(More customer reviews)I received this clock today and mine also has a second hand, as an earlier reviewer commented. I really like this clock. I knew its dimensions but it seems larger (not a bad thing). It is an excellent value at this price point and you can't beat the retro styling - of the face especially. I also love its color. I gave the clock 4 stars as I'm not quite as pleased with the outer part, it's pretty obvious that it is thin plastic rather than a heavy plastic resembling metal (which to me it looks very much like from the picture here). I now know exactly what to expect when I read "resin construction", I suppose. But again, for the price this is a great clock and I certainly can't complain much. I see stuff like it all of the time in stores for $40 and more.

Unfortunately, it didn't last through a couple straight days of thunderstorms, the paint ran & the battery died. I'll probably order another one because I like the theme & it's so cute, but will keep it protected so that it lasts through a few summers.

(More customer reviews)The plexiglas is clear, not frosted. There are shadows on the wall from the numbers. Would be very difficult for children to tell the time. Any blemishes on the wall behind it will be clearly seen.
It is very inaccurate at keeping time. Have had it less than a month. Yet it keeps losing time. The second hand keeps getting stuck on the minute hand. Has removed the silver finish. Then it will come free, leaving the clock hours behind.

You can't tell from the picture with the white background, but the center of the clock (around the face of the clock) is open, with just the 4 spokes radiating out to the pictures. It looks really nice on a dark colored wall. It was very easy to open the backs of the little picture frames to put in pictures too. Would highly recommend this as a gift.
