I got this one because the campy silly fun colors and stuff,,,, might as well feel good about getting up. (It was also a bit less expensive than some choices, though without all the features of some from this company.) I have a TERRIBLE time getting up in the AM and gave this a try- as other reviewers mentioned the vibrating unit definitely lets you know it's time to jump out of bed! The alarm on this one has adjustable volume and can be set to wake- the- neighbors loud; I do not even need it as loud as my regular alarm, at least for now, because it has an odd sort of siren- like whoop to it which wakes me..... and you can also set the tone of the alarm so it whoops slower or faster. There are flashing lights on it too, I did not think they would be helpful but they are, they are just one more thing to grab your attention. When I first tried this out the cat went flying off the bed and down the hall! I imagine like anything I could get used to it, but at least for now it is impossible to sleep through...... and I suspect will stay that way for quite awhile, expecially with the options to change tone and loudness. You can either turn it off just for the day, leaving the alarm set for the next day, or cancel the alarm till it is re- turned on. You can also choose to use just tone, just vibrator or both. A reviewer of a similar product from this company said it gave her a headache; I find that surprising, but then I am not prone to headaches, and I did put the bed- shaking unit under an extra pillow and not immediately under my head. As some others have noted this might irritate a bed-mate (or even roomate or suitemate) quite a bit. But it certainly does the job.

And...if you ever get a real date (or just need a massage) you can turn off the audible alarm and just let the bed shaker do its thing. The Love Clock is also a great secondary alarm clock. Like Commissioner Gordon had a special phone to call Batman, this could be the clock to remind you when it's time for love!
