The clock looks nice but the gears were not lined up correctly and the clock did not function properly. I returned it and chose a different clock.

We placed this in our office on the main floor-and we still get super reactions from visitors & coworkers alike. It's nicely built and large with moving gears that makes this quite impressive for what you paid. The nice feature about this wall clock is the glass dial ( you can look through and see the wall which can be painted any color in any shape -circle, square, stripe-a free designer tip which will get great reactions) Easy to install & great wow factor for the bang. Hope this review helped.

I would say that it looks better in the picture than in reality.
But overall it is nice but doesn't look fancy. It has a nice style.

MoMA Timesphere Clock - White Review

MoMA Timesphere Clock - White

This is a good addition to the contemporary set up i have in my living room. However, the kids cannot read the time well - and most of the time - we ended up using other ways to tell time. It's not big - and thus, difficult to tell the exact time since the clock is hung up quite high. I would say that this is more a decorative item than a functional item. It is definitely not for regular time telling - given it's level of difficulty, and the small size, plus the fact that - the clock has to be hung (note - cannot be place on counter or console table as there's no stand for it).

Industrial designer Gideon Dagan's new clock captures the essence of pure, minimalist design. A seemingly gravity-defying ball travels around the dial to mark the time, creating an eye-catching illusion. Made of injection-molded ABS plastic, the clock features a high-torque, precision quartz movement. One AA battery is required (not included). 9.5" diameter. Made in USA for MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, NY).

It is a good decoration and conversation piece. Only three wheels turn, the other wheels are for decoration only. The three turning wheels are noisy at times. Overall, it is worth the price.

I really like the retro feel of this clock. I wanted to hear the tiles flip, and I didn't need norad type accuracy. Once or twice it seemed to lose a minute or two, and once it was an hour off, but I've been very happy with it. I love how it looks. I work with children, and they are fascinated by it.

Maple's Clock TCL06-333 Moving Gear Desktop Clock Review

Maple's Clock TCL06-333 Moving Gear Desktop Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Its difficult to understand this clock if you haven't seen it run, so here you go. When we first got it, it was jerky and neither ran evenly, correctly, nor quietly. A bit of inspection showed a wire from a battery was interfering with one of the gears. Moving that down, out of the way, has completely solved that problem. It now runs smoothly, correctly, and quietly.
The wire problem does highlight the only drawback, which is that the outer rider gears are being driven by the motor that drives the hands. So if something gets shoved up against it to block the outer gears, the clock will not tell time correctly. It also makes a click-click noise when this happens, so I've always noticed, but it could easily happen that you didn't.

Kikkerland Gear Wall Clock, Nickel/White Review

Kikkerland Gear Wall Clock, Nickel/White

I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a mechanical engineer. He loved the clock. He especially liked it because all the gears move. There are some gear clocks where the gears don't move, only the hands. The gears are made out of a cheaper material but suitable for the price of the clock. The clock looks great on the wall. It's very stylish. Also, the clock was delivered to my door in about a week and a half. It's a great clock.

We love this clock! Everyone who comes in our house loves it. It's plastic so it's very light weight but it looks metal so it looks expensive. Just be sure to hang it where no one will touch it, it delicately balanced.

Can You Imagine Time Machine Tabletop Clock Review

Can You Imagine Time Machine Tabletop Clock

I had always wanted one of these, and finally got one a few years ago. I'm still very fond of it, but I rarely plug it in. It's fine if you're actually sitting and watching it, but there was nowhere I could put it in my house that the incessant clunking of balls wouldn't drive me nuts the rest of the time. Don't even *think* about putting one of these in a bedroom, unless it's occupied by somebody with severe hearing loss. Other than that, though, these clocks are fascinating and great fun.

Watch time pass while observing the science of physical energy and the power of machines.-- A battery-operated motor lifts a steel ball bearing onto a durable concentric track at regular intervals. Here it moves with others on a slow downward course, both halted and propelled by 'see-saws' that tip when correctly weighted. Correct time can be read by observing the numerals that the balls are aligned with - hours and minutes are both indicated.-- This intriguing conversation piece is encapsulated in a clear, impact-resistant case. The base measures 10" x 6", the clock mechanism stands 8" high.-- Powered by a 6V AC adapter (not included) or via 4 "C" batteries (not included). -- Resources: -- » See It Work (Flash Movie)
