Anyone want a good clock without a pendulum. Perhaps I can cut it down and just use the clock somewhere.

This mountable wall clock is a subtle piece of artistic décor as well as a functional piece. A light wood frame circles a brushed silver dial with black metal hands and a step second hand. The 3, 6, and 9 hours are marked with metal dashes and the 12 hour is marked with Roman numerals. The other hours are unmarked, yet easy to distinguish. The clock measures 11-1/2 inches in diameter and is an easy fit in any room. A single AA battery, not included, is required for power.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice looking clock, with good-sized, readable numbers, but a couple of issues to be aware of. It does have kind of a loud tick, but okay, I can live with that. The face is just a little darker than it appears in the photo, and so at times, when there is glare on the glass (it's in a sunny room), it can be a little harder to read. All of these are relatively minor and still outweighed by the overall quality of the clock. The biggest problem that I had with it was that when it first arrived, the workings on the back of the clock were not adequately attached to the face, so that the hands would just rotate wildly at the slightest touch. I sent that first one back, thinking it was just a fluke. Well, the second one arrived with the exact same problem, just to a lesser degree. So I decided that if I lined it up perfectly and glued it at the back, I could live with it. And it has been just fine. But I still do think that for the price, better quality control is in order.

(More customer reviews)This clock looks nice and works fine. The only drawback is that it "ticks" a little louder than I hoped. We got this clock partly because it has no second had, but it still ticks the seconds away, and I can hear it at night when it's quiet and I'm going to sleep, even though it's in the next room. It's really only noticeable then, when it's quiet, so don't get one for your bedroom. Otherwise it should be fine.

If you have a nice kitchen ,it deserves good looking accessories. Always remember what an old man told me years ago.Anyone can buy cheap stuff cheap, the trick is to get good stuff cheap. (More customer reviews)This clock really is 12" on outside diameter, with a beautiful frame, it leaves ony 9" for actual face. Numbers and hands are still legible from more than 30 feet away. Quality look feel, and design; but made in China. I bought this for my office, but moved it to a conference room as the clock does tick; quietly, but definately there when no other noise in office.

(More customer reviews)At the start it was losing only about 1 minute per month. After a year it was losing about 10 minutes per month. Now after 18 months it kind of works intermittently. They told me the warranty has expired but, it seems to me, that's kind of the nature of clocks .. you don't know anything is wrong until time has passed. I would think a clock should keep time longer than a year.

You can tell it wasn't cheaply built, however I had to return it because the minute hand would collide with the second hand subdial an the way by. It would have gotten 5 stars if it functioned properly. Seiko Dual Time Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case Review

(More customer reviews)This is a nice clock for across the room viewing. It's 16" in diameter and has TWO separate clock mechanisms built in. (single AA type battery each)
You can set the two to any time you want, independently. Mine are staying in sync so far.
It is a little pricey for a NON Atomic clock, but it's so easy to read without your glasses, it's worth it.
BTW, only the Main clock has a detent sweep secound hand, which I like because it lets you know it's running.
cons: I wish it was cheaper, I'd like to buy another one...:)

(More customer reviews)I've owned one of these for 17 years. I was inspired to buy a wood wall clock with a pendulum by my mother's cuckoo clock. I knew my husband wouldn't go for the cuckoo, and it did have to be wound every day. Also I love the look of grandfather clocks, but I didn't want something that heavy, and grandfather clocks use floor space.
I went shopping and it was love at first sight. I saw some beautiful clocks, and some cost a lot more, but this was it. It's a classic, beautiful clock with large, clear numbers. It keeps time beautifully. It's never off. You do have to change the time in spring and fall. It's not computerized.
I love the chimes, too, and you can adjust the volume and even set them to not ring at night. The clock doesn't run on the pendulum. Set it swinging when you mount it and it keeps swinging. It's a bit boxy to handle, but it's not too heavy. You don't need to mount it over a stud. You can just use a picture hanger. There's a durable hanging ring on the back of this clock.
I truly prize this clock, and there aren't that many things I cherish, because things can't love you back. The price is about the same now as it was when I bought it, and I freaked about it, but it's been worth every penny. So useful and beautiful! What a great wedding or housewarming gift!
