(More customer reviews)I used to have a much larger toaster oven, but having subsequently bought my first microwave, when the big toaster oven died, I looked for a smaller toaster oven to free up some counter space. I've had this for about a month, and I think it's quite good for what it is, but for what it is, it's overpriced. If it were cheaper I'd rate it higher. It broils beautifully. The oven heats very quickly, which is great. By my measurements, it's about 50 degrees above the requested temperature in middle ranges, as has been noted by others. But small toaster ovens are always unreliable on precise temperature. That's why all those frozen foods that come in microwave containers say don't cook them in a toaster oven (which you can do just fine, by the way, if you know how far off the temperature is). I prefer toast a little lighter than it makes toast at T-1, but it's okay. I miss features like the hook pull-outs, which not only pull the shelf out when you open the door but keep the door from crashing up and down, and the pull-out, rather than drop-down, crumb drawer. It's a perfectly adequate small toaster oven, but it should be either a little better or a little cheaper.

(More customer reviews)Before purchasing the HB 43254 Classic Stainless 12 cup coffee maker I read the reviews like I normally do before making any purchase. I decided to purchase this coffee maker knowing that there may be some minor issues with it - what doesn't these days? After many years of buying coffee makers I have found there is no "perfect" coffee maker that will make everyone happy. You just need to decide what is important to you and your family. That said, after about three weeks of use I found it to be exactly what I was looking for - it makes HOT coffee, the carafe DOESN'T drip and I didn't need to use a manual to set up the clock and timer! If this is what you are looking for stop reading and purchase this unit now. Enjoy the coffee maker...
For those that really need to know more before purchasing continue reading:
- This coffee maker uses basket shaped filters. So you can give your neighbor your unused cone shaped paper filters you may still have.
- The water reservoir does have a rather small opening but it is not too small like some very expensive coffee makers I have seen. Some may find it easier to use a large cup a couple of times to fill the reservoir instead of using the carafe. Either way I never needed to turn the coffee maker sideways to fill the reservoir.
- The water spout does swivel to allow you to install the filter and add coffee. You only need to move it once that is if you fill the water reservoir first. When closing the lid it will move the spout back into the proper position so you don't have to remember to do it yourself.
- I too had a defective carafe that leaked at the top between the plastic rim and glass. I called customer service, waited a few minutes, and spoke to someone in the USA. It was replaced within a few days at no charge. I sealed the original carafe until the replacement arrived.
- I never had an issue with pouring a cup of coffee using the auto pause and serve feature. Besides, how often do you really "need" to have a cup of coffee before it is done brewing? If you are that desperate, set the timer so it is done brewing before you get up in the morning.

(More customer reviews)This weather station is about as elementary as it gets. Its easy to set up, easy to read, and despite what the other reviewer here said about it being inaccurate, I have found it to be profoundly accurate when compared to two other more expensive stations I have. I believe accuracy in any of these stations depends mostly on the position of the sensor. Its harder than one thinks to find a fairly sheltered area that is out of the wind and direct sunlight. Try different places if yours seems consistently inaccurate. As far as this unit as it compares to others, most of these weather stations I have found are all about the price. Spend more money and you get more cool icons and numbers to look at. This unit has an atomic clock, (nice to have one clock in the house that is precisely accurate all the time), date, indoor and outdoor temperature, and a forecast icon which is really nothing more than a monitor of the barometric pressure. If it is heading up the icon will forecast fair weather. If its heading down it will display clouds. Despite this simple gaging technique, it is usually very accurate in most cases. And you also have the option of setting the sensitivity of the forecast icon. That is, to make it react more quickly to minor fluctuations in the barometric pressure, thus seeing the forecast icon change more often. (There was a time when all weather forecasting was pretty much done by just watching the barometer. I suggest keeping the sensitivity set to "medium", for setting it higher had mine changing far too often, and too soon). La Crosse units are one of the oldest and most reliable that there are going. My station has been running flawlessly since I installed it, and after 6 months the batteries in both the station and sensor still test out strong. One other thing, none of these units around this price could be considered overly generous in their screen display dimensions. Some, even ones that are more expensive can be down right cheap. They're so small you have to walk right up to them each time to read it. This units screen is a full 2" wide and 3 1/4 inches long. A decent enough size to see from several feet away. If you're interested in a simple easy to read accurate weather station/forecaster I would highly recommend this one...

1. It looks cheap. In the photo here on Amazon, it looks shiny like metal. In reality, it's a cheap-looking plastic.
2. The clock hand that sets the alarm moves in only one direction. So if you overshoot the time you want, you can't just nudge it back ... you have to go all the way around the face again.
3. It's very difficult to move the clock hand that sets the alarm. The dial for this is stiff and awkward. I have long, slender fingers and find it difficult. I imagine that someone with chubby fingers would find it impossible. Additionally, it's impossible to nudge the hand a little bit. So if you undershoot, you have to go all the way around again.
4. The hand that sets the alarm is very short, which means that the end of it is far from the numbers on the face. It's impossible to be precise about the alarm time you're setting.

(More customer reviews)This clock fulfills all of your travel needs. I spent a half hour slogging thru the dozens of Amazon travel clocks to find this one. I can't believe no one else has reviewed it. I refuse to trust wake up services. When I have to leave for the airport at 4am, I want my own reliable alarm clock to wake me up.
My old digi-clock of twenty years just pooped out. I liked it cuz it was digital (no ticking sound), small (size of pack of cigarettes, EZ time set and inexpensive at $10+. The EZ time set is the most important feature for me. I hate those clocks that one has to run thru 23 hours to change the time back by one hour. This clock allows one to +/- just one hour (or minute). It is essential when cruising in the Carribee or Mex Riviera where the time zone changes almost nightly.
We don't wear wrist watches any more and it is nice to whack the clock in the middle of the night to see the time. Is it almost time to get up at 6am or can one roll over at midnight?
