good design , Radio , but the projector is not a day one, which means in the day light it's hard to see the time. also the projector will work only if you press the snooze button and it will stay for 5 sec. really disappointed.

I bought this at a department store and that should have been my first clue that it would not be the greatest in quality. I should have just gone to a store that only sells electronics, but now I am stuck with this piece of junk. Don't do what I did!! The radio NEVER picks up any of the stations I used to get on my other radio, which I am now having to use again. My cds constantly skipped, and forget about playing a burned cd, that will never happen. It's just junk, that's all. Don't waste your time or energy.

Philips AJ3910 CD Clock Radio Review

Philips AJ3910 CD Clock Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This unit and it's successor the AJ3910/37B both suffer from the same fatal flaw: although the packaging states in large bold lettering: "Wake to your favorite CD track," there is no way to set a track number for the alarm. The unit's alarm will ONLY wake you with the first track of the CD. I called Philips support (which was quite helpful), and they confirmed this. They also confirmed that Philips does not make a comperable product with said feature.
It's a shame really because everything else about the unit is top notch. The clock read-out is clear and bright enough to read across the room without my glasses on, yet not so bright as to disturb my sleep. The sound is top notch for such a small unit, and the controls are pretty easy to use.
But the lack of ability to select a specific track to wake up to is a fatal flaw. When faced with the decision to either: (a.) burn a pile of custom CDs, or (b.) exchange the unit for one with the all-important feature, I'd rather exchange the unit.

Functioning both as an alarm clock and CD player, the Philips AJ3910 can wake you up with the standard alarm sound or your favorite CDs. The large LCD display shows the time prominently and clearly, and dual alarms allow you to set different alarms for different events, without having to change it every time.A self-powered backup helps the AJ3910 keep time even when the power goes out.

Timex T309T Alarm Clock Radio with Nature Sounds (Titanium) Review

Timex T309T Alarm Clock Radio with Nature Sounds (Titanium)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a nice little item. It has good sound quality and three types of alarm: radio, buzzer, and nature sounds (there are 3 or 4 of these to choose from). You can specify whether an alarm setting works every day, only on weekdays, or only on weekends. Each alarm setting has its own radio station or nature sound (and volume) associated with it. It's got a nice big snooze button on top, which doubles as a display dimmer (my favorite feature).
I've come across just a couple disappointments in the week that I've had it.
- I thought I'd be able to create a radio-alarm setting for weekdays and another radio-alarm setting (same time, but different station) for weekends. Can't do it. You get one setting for each type of alarm.
- The radio preset buttons are arranged in a line across the front of the unit. The band setting button is in that line too, to its left. So if you want preset #1, you've got to punch the second button. Hitting the first button switches you to AM.
All in all, though, it's worth the [money].

The Timex T309TT triple-alarm clock radio lets you wake to your choice of AM/FM radio, buzzer, or any of four nature sounds (wind, brook, surf, and forest spring). Yes, you read correctly: the triple-alarm system lets you set three independent alarm times and wake sounds.Even if you're waking alone, you might want to set the device to trigger, say, soothing nature sounds at 7 a.m., a gentle radio station at 7:15, and a blaring buzzer at 7:30 just in case your heinie is still in the sack when it ought to be in the shower. Use the convenient 7-5-2 system to set your alarm(s) for the week, weekdays, or the weekend.Store up to 18 radio stations in memory, accessible through six one-touch tuning buttons. The radio offers drift-free PLL (phase-locked loop) digital tuning and displays station frequency and preset numbers.Time to crash? Drift into sleep to the radio or soothing nature sounds using the programmable sleep timer. The unit also offers a 99-year calendar (2000 to 2099) with year/month/day display and a sure-alarm battery backup system.

I've bought two of these atomic clocks. The first, a 12" wood framed model, soon stopped keeping accurate time and started acting unpredictably. The second, this model, has been on my wall for a week and is keeping good time after an easy setup: insert battery, push EST button.
I am nicking it a star because it makes a noticeable tick sound in a quiet room, making it inappropriate for a bedroom.
[Update: The clock has functioned well for nearly 3 years with a battery change per year.]

I bought this clock for my daughter after I had received a different projection clock as a gift. My daughter really likes the on-ceiling display of the clock. The only drawbacks: the projection device does not swivel left and right. That would help in positioning the on-ceiling display a little better. Also, you must set the projection clock separate from the regular clock-radio clock. Other than that, I would recommend.

Many if not all of Lacrosse atomic analog clocks have received bad reviews on how the clocks do not adjust for DST. Other than the DST issue clock has been very accurate.
Update: La Crosse sent out new clocks to replace the ones that did not adjust for DST because of the new date changes. Any company that does this is tops in my book. Changing rating to five stars.

Keep precise time with this 12-inch atomic analog wall clock from La Crosse Technology. With its built-in antenna, the clock receives radio signals at a 60 kHz frequency up to 2000 miles away from its source, the WWVB radio transmitter for the United States Atomic Clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. The clock resets itself daily according to these transmissions for continued accuracy. For daylight savings time, the clock also adjusts automatically to the appropriate time.
An attractive aluminum frame encompasses the clock face. Beneath the flat lens, large, easy-to-read black numerals adorn the face, while black clock hands tick off the time by the hour, minute, and second. Four buttons on the backside of the clock allow users to select from Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones. For clock use outside of these time zones and further than 2000 miles from the WWVB transmitter, the clock provides a manual setting option. Likewise, the DST function can be overruled for residents of Arizona, Indiana or other regions who don’t practice daylight savings time. Allow 12 to 24 hours for the clock to set to the atomic clock. For the best results, place the clock away from computers, radios, and other electronic equipment, and in a region undisturbed by long-wave radio reception. Weather may also occasionally disrupt the atomic clock transmissions. While the clock may operate successfully outdoors in temperatures ranging from 41 to 131 degrees F, it is designed for indoor use and is not water proof. This clock requires the separate purchase of one AA alkaline battery for a year’s worth of power. Covered by a limited one-year warranty, the clock measures 12 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 12 inches high. The clock weighs 3 pounds upon shipping.

Philips AJ3600 Time Projection Clock Radio Review

Philips AJ3600 Time Projection Clock Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just received this clock yesterday and have already fallen in love!
To avoid hitting the snooze or reset button(s) and never waking up, I keep my alarm clock across the room from my bed. This way I wake up enough to get out of bed and walk across the room before I hit any buttons. As my eyes are getting older it has become increasingly more difficult to focus on the clock when I wake up in the middle of the night.
When I decided that a projection clock would solve my problem of focusing on the clock in the middle of the night, I started to look around for one and I was not pleased with what was out there. I did not need nature sounds, nor did I need a light to turn on as part of the alarm. I do not have an MP3 player to dock into my clock, and I do not need a complete weather report when I open my eyes (LOL, I will find that out soon enough when I shlep out of bed and let the dogs outside!). I do not need to know what time the alarm is set (I just like to be reassured that it is on), and I am perfectly capable of pressing a few buttons to set the time all by myslef.
This little guy projects the time and whether or not the alarm is on...the two things that I am most interested in when I open my eyes in the middle of the night. The projection can be moved 180 degrees and the further away you project the time, the larger it is. It has an adjustable backlight on the face so it is not too bright. It has an AM/FM radio with ten station presets, and when the alarm is set to chime instead of the radio, it starts gentle so as not to jar you awake. It does have two alarms, but instead of having a choice of alarm types (chime or radio) Alarm 1 uses the radio and Alarm 2 uses the chime. The chime is a little bit quieter than I am used to, but it woke me up just fine this morning.
So far (after one night) I love this clock, it's a great price, and I would defiantly recommend it!

La Crosse Technology WT-3102S 10-Inch Atomic Analog Wall Clock, Silver Review

La Crosse Technology WT-3102S 10-Inch Atomic Analog Wall Clock, Silver
Average Reviews:

This is an attractive 10" clock, white face, silver bezel (also available with black). The unique feature is the ability to synchronize with the atomic clock (WWWVB) in Ft. Collins, CO. Watching the hands speed around the dial as it initially sets itself is worth the price of the clock in itself. We bought one for a play room and liked it so much we bought two more.
After placing the battery, the clock begins searching for the signal. Generally it only takes a couple of minutes to sync, but it came take up to 24 hours. You need to set the time zone in which you live (Pacific, Eastern, etc). The clock automatically adjusts for DST (part of the WWWVB signal, apparently). If you live in areas of the country that don't recognize DST, there is a button on the clock to disable the DST offset.
Note that for the clock to receive the WWWVB signal, it cannot be in a shielded environment. We've had no problems in our home placing the unit in various rooms with an outside window, but I suspect it might not work in a windowless basement (in which case it functions as a regular clock). My company bought a ton of similar clocks, only to find that they cannot receive the signal in a windowless, steel building. Your mileage may vary.

Received one as a gift around 12/2005. Worked reasonably well in New England for several months. Would occasionally forget its time and resync. Seemed to eat batteries. After 6 months or so it would not sync reliably. After multiple resets and battery changes, gave up and sent it back for repair but they returned it saying it worked fine for them. I would guess that it might work better if closer to Colorado and the radio signal source, but I've given up on it in New England. Nice looking clock and I was happy with it when it was working.

When I received this clock, I popped in the batteries, and it soon started setting the time...at least until the minute hand hit the fifty-minute mark, from where it refused to move. Upon the advice of tech support, I exchanged the clock, and its replacement kept perfect time...as long as you didn't look at the second hand. The hour and minute hands were dead-on, but the second hand moved at a rate seven seconds per hour faster. No amount of resetting (or tech support) would solve the problem, so I threw in the towel and returned it for a refund. Pity. It's exactly the clock I was looking for...except for the not-working part.

Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Clock Review

Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most of my life I've had early shifts for my occupation (i.e. being into work at 6:00 am or earlier). I used to have a clock that didn't have a battery backup nor did it keep the correct time. I saw this model clock that had both plus the time projection on the ceiling so my wife didn't have to try to roll me over to see the clock, so I decided to give it a try. The clock looks a bit futuristic, but that is its function. The exact time feature is great. I set the houses clocks to it whenever the power goes out, which is regularly (where in a rural town). The battery backup is another great feature that I've never had prior to this. The only drawbacks that I have with the clock is that in order to project the time on the ceiling so that you can read it on a decent angle, is to turn the clock so that you can't the time on its face. You either get to see the one on the ceiling or you get the face of the clock, not both. Another drawback is the buttons on the clock don't make much sense when you need to program the alarm. Once you know the buttons to push, its easy, but they aren't marked well. Hope this review is helpful for you.

For the month I've owned the clock did what it what it was suppose to do. Last week the outside temperature quit working. The outside sensor batteries were still fresh. Resetting the clock by pulling the batteries took about an hour for the clock to seek and set. Then I had to access the internet instructions to figure out how to reset the time zone. This is not intuitive. It is working again but I dread the thought of it acting up.
EDIT- IT ACTED UP AGAIN 6 days later. No outside temperature. I'm waiting for the clock to 'find' the temperature remote that is sitting only 3-inches away.
